anyone playing ToO can split its experience in 3 tiers:
0-4 wins: beside the unlucky match, you get matched quite fairly to average players.. (1400-1500 ELO max)
5-6 wins: you get matched with 1700-1900 teams.. matches start to become more sweatier..
7-9+ wins: you EXCLUSIVELY get matched against 1900+ ELO teams
with the shrink of the userbase (less mixed pve/pvp players and more try harder) the 7+ win became defacto a barrage to any average teams. (1200-1500 ELO) .
Bungie , could you please review the 7+ win matchmaking range ? we shouldn't be matched with
2000+ players doing carry all the week end or just pub stomping for the fun of it given the smaller user base.
you have several solutions to this:
- introduce more SBMM past 7 wins.
- put characters who achieved flawless in a separate matchmaking pool
- remove the 7-9+ bracket altogether and make it 0-4 and 5-9+
people are getting tired of this try hard mode and that's all what is left to do in destiny right now..
edit: according to guardian.gg there is 40000 flawless account across both PS4 et xbox each week.
currently someone with ELO 1700 is rank 23,079 in ToO playlist on PS4 alone.
this mean that the average ELO of team going flawless is likely in the 1800+..
edit2: so 70% agree that ToO MatchMaking s broken and the only who doesn't are certainly the top30% or people who don't even play the mode. fair enough i would say.. @Deej @Lars Bakken and Derek Carroll we know nothing will change for destiny 1 but take this into account for destiny 2. You can't keep something fair when the base assomption are different because of the players defects which in this case is mainly due to the matchmaking alone.

So basically you want it so the average player has even less of a chance of going flawless? You say you don't like tryhard mode but you want game 7-9 to be the sweatiest games of your life? You obviously didn't think this through, just like all the other people on these forums who ask for change.

Just go play skirmish during The Weekend. If you don't like trials match making. It's supposed to be difficult. I know the carries and recovs blah blah who cares. There is nothing more satisfying then beating those teams.

I only know this, if me and a couple friends lose 3-5 0r 4-5 against another team I am fine with that as I feel it was a pretty even match. If we lose consistently 0-5 to teams made up of all top tier or 2.0+ kd's. that seems to me to be broken. how is it any challenge to either team ? Im not good enough to counter them and its like fish in a barrel to them...... but whatever its just a game.

7 通の返信Trials needs a ranked-and-tiered playlist. Its current form its like having a club championship at a golf club.....and then having a single competition where everyone plays match play (playing against other player directly instead of againstthe course) and have to play off scratch. With no allowance for handicaps. The scratch and low-handicap players just stomp the shit out of everyone else......to the point where the mid-and-high handicap players see no point in showing up to play. So they stop So, no....the MM isn't fair to the average player....and the whole point of Trials is that it is NOT SUPPOSED to be fair. Because the purpose is for those average players to be cannon fodder for the better players.

13 通の返信So some interesting things happened yesterday for my team. We were doing pretty well after getting flawless and suddenly we started getting paired with .5 KD kids who clearly weren't on their 9th win. Our streak ended after getting paired with red bar foreigners which was insanely frustrating. Also got paired against the same players three times in a row sometimes.

Stopped playing because i get annoyed by all the kids who either run jugg+metador or amplitude+metador. Its pretty awesome how they press the left ctrl stick forward and then press r2 when theyre near the opponent.

It's sad that ppl care enough to ask for change but may never actually see it. ToO was modified once already and enough people come back to play week after week that bungie is probably still happy with it :(
