Before you react to anything, its just a patch update not dlc. Using that term sets different expectations for it, and you should know where peoples expectations can lead to.
You can call it the hope diamond, still won't be anything but coal without hundreds of years of pressure. This stuff may sound impressive, till you remember it should have been there in the first place. And what of the other stuff promised, on television and YouTube , that co-op multiplayer , the factions that you could interact with and choose between sides , and the most important thing of all , the story , the bullshit excuse for a story , that concludes with NOTHING, no cutscene , no profound reason for us traveling to the ends of the universe to the center of it , no nothing. It's a profound disappointment, and it's even further exacerbated by the fact that they lied to our faces and told us they did all this with it to begin with and had the gall to ship this clearly unfinished indie beta version of a game with a price tag of $59.99, when it should have been 29.99.
That's not the last of it bud. MP was never gonna be at launch, it was just expected due to the vagueness of their responses to the questions about it. They've said that mp would be in down the line in a separate mode called nms online. When that'll be? Who knows, but it was never confirmed to be in at day one. It was just assumed it would be due to their bad communication. And while not at launch, stuff players assumed would be is addressed in this patch. Some of it was supposed to be there at launch and some wasn't, but a lot of people assumed it would be because of their terrible communication pre and post launch. Besides, they are fixing the game now, and for those that have stuck around is a good thing. If you've moved on, none of this matters to you anymore. Why waste your time on it any further? The game had potential, and they are still trying to live up to it. This patch is a good start, but more needs to be done and more is coming. Just hope they can communicate that better than they have been so far.
