Easily, kill almost everyone(needs to only be one person left). That person is at peace with them self, then bam, world peace.
-
You can't have peace with freedom, because somebody's always going to disagree with someone else.

Peace Defined As: a state of mutual harmony between people or groups, especially in personal relations I think so. And there's no need to wipe people off the planet to do so. It all comes down to human nature. Say an alien signal reaches the earth and we, decode it and confirm there's other life in the Universe. Now that's enough, but let's say the signal was an eviction notice, telling us all we need to leave or die off in 200 years. What'll happen is an US vs THEM mentality which is Human Nature. Suddenly, there'll be something intelligent and violent and it looks nothing like us. Be you Russian, Muslim extremist, a KKK member, a Homosexual vegan...it won't matter anymore because "We're in this together" mentality will prevail. And as such, World Peace. Until we go all Independence Day on em.

No, it's not. As long as there are different views within society, there will always be conflict. Now, that doesn't mean that we don't strive for it. We won't be perfect, but we must do our best to move forward and press on together to get as close as possible, hand in hand.

Depends on what peace means to the beholder. Peace can mean no wars or fight or killing. Peace could be suppressing the people so they can't fight back against the government. Peace could still mean we have slaves.

Lordsa Jar-Jarにより編集済み: 11/2/2016 3:18:58 PMNo, of course not. It's in our nature to fight, wage war. It'll take nothing short but an act of god to change the hearts and minds of 7billion plus people. Anyone who votes yes, is very foolish/naïve I'm assuming you mean that "world peace" in a metaphorical sense? Because can one planet achieve peace? Sure it can.

The simple answer? No. The long answer? Aa long as opinions exist, there will never be world peace. People will always have different ideals and pursue different motives. To unite many people under a single directive, motive, ideal, whatever you want is possible. But true world peace cannot be obtained due to this. Tensions will exist forever between both people and nations, which will eventually lead to conflict. Ask yourself this. If world peace can only be obtained if all humans unite under a single ideal, would you truly want to live in a world that possesses the same thought process as you? Do you want to be around 7,000,000,000+ carbon copies of yourself throughout your every waking moment for the rest of your natural life? Better to live life in conflict than at peace, because in conflict I would know that I am myself, I fight for what I believe in and stand for, not simply remain idle and live the life of a pathetic sheep.

Technically world peace will come with the New World Order and a one world system of government. However it will be a false peace. That or if aliens descended down. Pretty sure the world will band together. Another way is a massive plague hits and kills 90+%. It will be pretty peaceful after the fact, relatively speaking. But this is all dependent on your definition of peace and how broad sweeping that definition is.

The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years. (Revelation 20:4-6 NIV)
He's coming!
Basically world peace.
