How to get Thorn Year 3
All credit goes to the original founder on reddit. Link is at the bottom.
You get the quest randomly when turning in bounties to Shiro at Felwinter's Peak. From that the steps are:
Step 1: Echoes of Darkness: Face "The Wretched Eye" and defeat Kovik, the Devil Splicers' high priest. Doesn't matter what difficulty
Step 2: Harvest of the Lesser: Wipe out Fallen in the Plaugelands to feed the weapon's appetite. Quite a bit of splicers have to be killed.
Step 3: Feast Upon the Light: Use Void Damage to defeat Guardians in the Crucible. Private matches don't count. (No death penalty)
Step 4: Cleansed by The Light: Consume Motes of Light to Cleanse yourself and the weapon. 5 motes.
Step 5: Where it Began: Find a Skeleton Key and open the Strike Hoard at the end of "The Abomination Heist" Strike.
And thats it! Now I just gotta get the quest to drop.

1 返信I got it yesterday im on step 3 killing with void burn in crucible is the hardest part seeing i dont have a raid team and cant get those elemental burn excotics for my primary.i tried farming prison but i seem to never get guns.

2 通の返信Been trying since day one of The Rise of Iron. Still don't have it. My friend who hasn't been on in one year turned in his first bounty to Shiro and got it. I lost my s#*%

3 通の返信Ughhhh 3 bounties to try for it this week. I heard reports of ppl getting legendaries from the bounties then the next one or two bounties turn into the thorn quest. Can anyone confirm this?

1 返信Bungie never seems to stop amazing me with their stupidity. Remember that quest in yr1 for thorn? Get rid of it and now lets put a new in its place. Why? -blam!- you thats why! Its "new" content.

Its the MOST NERFED GUN since destiny came out.....all the early destiny players remember its TRUE potentials, the thorn as it is now is no longer the UNIQUE weapon they made in the first place because people who got OWNED by it yelled "NERF IT CAUSE I KEEP GETTING KILLED AND IM ACTING LIKE A KINDERGUARDIAN CRYBABY"....Well thanks crybabies you got your way, you destroyed the best gun in destiny!

7 通の返信Way to go Bungie. As always let's cater to the whiny children about how things are too hard and they "deserve" hand outs. I for one loved the original quest and the chaperone quest as it kept it from being in everybody's hands and made it difficult. Why does everyone want things to be easy? What's the point in making everything mindlessly easy? It's the video game equivalent of a participation trophy.

mja calgにより編集済み: 9/28/2016 1:35:39 AMJust had the Thorn Quest drop for me today (Sept 27) on my Titan. Will start doing it later tonight with the Wretched Eye Strike. The guide will help me prepare. If anyone is wondering how I got it. I was just filling bounties in the Plague Lands on Patrol. Decided to go get the ghost near the ketch draw bridge (walked past it probably 10 times!) and had to do a mini mission to get there. I had not turned in any bounties, but I had just finished filling the hammer smash bountie (kill 100 enemies with solar hammer). Walked up the draw bridge, started killing the Servitor Boss on the Ketch and got a message that the Thorn Quest had been received. I doubt if what I was doing is related to me getting the Quest. HTH..
