320 通の返信Vampire Noxにより編集済み: 9/20/2016 3:44:44 PMConsidering most every other MMO on the planet has 1+ mil players regularly, the fact that the queue was only clogged at 300k users on the day a DLC dropped is kind of pathetic. Especially since Bungie continually brags that they hae "12 million registered accounts" (notice they never shit a number of active accounts on a per day/week/month timeframe like every other company trips over themselves to provide...). And that their servers were buckling under the weight of only 300k players, only shows how weak their server stability is. So, yeah. Destiny's 300k server butt-plug problems on the day a DLC dropped is a sign that the game isn't actually too popular at all. Take out the swell of people who logged-in to get the DLC, and Destiny's daily population is probably closer to 150k people. Not good for an MMO, stud.
"but Bungie didn't create an MMO. This is a unique FPSMMO..."
lol Yeah, actually; they did create an MMO. A shit-tier half-assed MMO at that. The player numbers would prove that as well. Assuming Bungie would ever have the balls to show that info.

Yeah thought the same or...could've been a trick by bungie to get the exact reaction you're showing lol.I believe bungie did that deliberately to kinda shut the mouths of those who never get tired of saying "people still play this game?".

57 通の返信No people come back to play new content then leave. Only people left are idiots repeating the same content over and over Unless it's your main PVP game there no harm there

3 通の返信Destiny active players are pretty obsessed, so I'm betting over half were on at launch. 330K was the highest number I saw. So maybe 500k active players at the start of a new dlc. It'll be 200K in a couple of months. Sounds about right compared to some of the vaguely telling stats they've given out in the past. No wonder the same group keeps winning CoE, damn near nobody gives a damn.

The question is how healthy is the player base after 2 months ( since this is how usually Destiny content feels fresh ) not 1h after release of a new content. Of course Bungie made its money but I have a feeling that those Q numbers might not be accurate and may be some glitch from their potato servers spewing random numbers. Also as far as I know game servers usually hold 5k-6k players before being full, soooo if thats the case then at most there are 400k active players. Kinda doubt that their servers can hold 1 mil users at once...

3 通の返信yep, it was like a mini-game... we had 5 in the party & we kept backing out & rejoining the game to see who could drop the farthest in the queue.
