I'm glad there are cool cops out there.
So I'm late as -blam!- driving to work this morning, (I get up at 330 every morning to be at work at 5) and I'm like alright I'm gonna have to speed to make it on time. Sure as shit right when I turn on to the first road of the ridiculous drive I have to make, a cop pulls in front of me and we go slow as hell almost all the way there. He turns off into a gas station and I'm like shit I gotta haul ass just to barely be able to make it. So I'm flyin and didn't see him turn right out of that gas station and follow me. Then the lights go on. My heart drops. I'm like god damnit I'm gonna get a huge ticket and probably get suspended from work for being late (they're super strict here).
So the cop walks up to my truck cool as shit and goes, "you're late to work aren't you?" I'm like yes sir I'm sorry I normally don't do this. Then he takes my info and I sit there for 15 minutes stressing the -blam!- out. He finally walks back up and goes "alright you were going 71 in a 35, but I'm going to give you a warning. This is a 284 dollar fine normally. Next time make better decisions."
Couldn't believe it. I was so relieved. I thanked him and shook his hand and was on my way. When I got to work, I noticed he wrote down 45 in a 35 and just gave me a warning.
It's officers like this, that truly understand the good citizens from the bad, and make me glad to be a part of this society. Because we all know there are power hungry ass hole cops out there too. But this guy was cool as -blam!- and helped me out. Hopefully I never see him again, and I mean that in a good way.
Sorry for the wall of text, just figured I'd share my morning with off topic.

6 通の返信71 in a 35 is just reckless. Leave on time no one cares. It's all fun until a kid runs out in front of your car. You deserved that ticket and cops shouldn't selectively chose. Who cares why you were speeding. You sped, you should be given a ticket.

3 通の返信You know that saying "there's never a cop around when you need one?" There was one around when I needed him. It was after work rush hour on the freeway. Some guy in a Mercedes cut me off and almost hit my front end. I honked. He flipped me off. I shrugged. He must have had a bad day and was going to take it out on me. He got out of his car and came at me with clenched fists and a red face. "Oh, shit," as I'm rolling up my window. I forgot my door was unlocked. He was opening the door to my car as I heard a voice over a loudspeaker say, "sir, get back in your vehicle." Oh thank god there was a cop in another lane that saw the whole thing.

I used to despise police. I got a job working security at a hospital. Just seeing a fraction of the shit they have to go thru dealing with people changed my attitude towards them. Im director of security at a hospital and deal with shitty types of people constantly. A huge majority of police are great. Just like any profession, there are some bad apples out there.

Fck yea!!!! Once i was on a long haul drive and it was a long straight road outof town so i decided to gun it, straight away got pulled over by cops doing 140ks ( 87? Mph) in a 90 zone (56mph). He said i was going to lose my license right there, i said i was a long way from home, all i got was a warning :):)

1 返信Had a similar experience once. Got pulled over for doing 40s in a 35 zone. Told the officer the truth - that I think was going 40ish and running late to work. He said it'd be a warning and asked if that sounded fair. I'm like Sir Yes Sir! Some pretty chill and understanding officers out there. Only those with agenda will say every one of them is bad.

To be honest most cops are like this from the times I've been in a persons car and they got pulled over like 4 times it ended with a warning and one was running a red. The other were like 30 over the limit in a empty roadway (no tight corners just straight).

Well depends on the area you live in and race. Because Most of the time I get pulled over for looking suspicious, even by walking. It's probably because I sag and looking sketchy AF. But hey that's only me right?
