Cayde's wish
If you payed attention to what Cayde says after you approach him, you would have heard him ask you to take him with you, he wishes to go with you, and even just say to you that he hates his job.As he was a guardian before being put to work as the vanguard, he clearly misses being able to go out to fight of the darkness.So I think it would be cool for there to be a mission in destiny 2 where Cayde begins to fight alongside you in one part of the mission to the end.Or perhaps there would be a cutscene where you are surrounded by to many enemies and Cayde rushes to your rescue as a bladedancer.Just an idea, tell me what you think.
Edit:The story behind the mission is that you have been sent to back into the Vault of Glass because the vanguard have been detecting a strong signal that is similar to Vex but not exactly the same.So you have been sent to investigate.When you finally reach the exactly what was giving of the signal, what you come across is Vex who have fused oracles into themselves to give themselves new powers and completely change their appearance.

"You have a plan, right?" your Ghost whispers. Suddenly, the enemies start disintegrating in droves. Cayde lands in the middle of the horde with you, and you stand back to back, aiming your weapons at the horde. "Sorry I'm late, it took longer than expected to shake Zavala's gaze. You, uh, ready for this?" The two of you start shooting, slowly spinning in a circle as the army is decimated. As the ashes of the last shadow falls, Cayde turns to you. "Oh yeah, it's nice to stretch my legs. Maybe I can look around a bit longer-" "CAYDE, GET BACK IN THE TOWER," Zavala roars over the comms. "DID YOU THINK I WOULDNT NOTICE THIS IS A HOLOGRAM? IT ONLY SPEAKS THREE DIFFERENT SENTENCES." "Damn," Cayde mutters. "I thought that'd buy me at least another hour."

Cayde is probably one of the few characters in Destiny I actually feel bad for since you can tell he is not content being a vanguard member. The other two seem just fine with it but Cayde isn't so keen on doing it.

30 通の返信We should have tons of npc missions. Defend the city with Zavala. Scout new areas with Cayde. Search lost archives with Ikora. Conduct a rescue mission with Prince Uldrin to find the Queen. Search new vex networks with the Stranger. Kill fallen with Saladin. There's endless possibilities

3 通の返信My understanding is that originally the character Cayde was suppose to be kind of a surrogate of Rasputin. Well... Actually all Exos were at one point or another.. I think he was supposed to get kidnapped at some point and we had to rescue him from the dreadnought which is when we find out that he's been quietly directed by the warmind all this time. Really from day one this game really needed a bot network for in mission events.. Not for high risk strikes, but it would have tied the player to the events of the game a lot more if there was active dialogue and situationally involved characters. They need to work on it in Destiny 2 because you have to fall in love with the characters to truly feel like part of the world... The Taken Wallet kinda helped on that with Cayde but there's still no emotional tie to Zavala or Ikora. Though it does always feel nice when Cayde whispers "don't tell anyone but you're my favorite"

Now you're thinking like a Bungie employee. You're hired!

Why do you assume he would use Bladedancer? He is clearly well versed as both a Bladedancer and a Gunslinger. I'm not particularly sure if he has the ability to use Nightstalker but he clearly isn't just one of the Hunter subclasses.
