This new trailer reveals Alola Forms. These are new variations of classic Pokémon.
• Exeggutor is Grass/Dragon with the ability Frisk.
• Vulpix and Ninetales are Ice and Ice/Fairy with the ability Snow Cloak.
• Sandshrew and Sandslash are Ice/Steel with the ability Snow Cloak.
There are also new Pokémon:
• First is Oricorio with four different forms, Fire/Flying, Electric/Flying, Psychic/Flying and Ghost/Flying (one for each island). Its ability is Dancer which copies dance moves.
• Minior is Rock/Flying with the ability Shields Down. With the Shields Down Ability, it will have excellent defensive capabilities as long as its shell is intact. It will also be protected from status conditions. But when its HP drops below half, its shell will break, and it will change to a form better suited to attacking.
• Yungoos' evolution is called Gumshoos, a Normal-type with Stakeout and Strong Jaw.
• Two new Pokémon are Formantis and its evolution Lurantis. They have the abilities Leaf Guard and the new move Solar Blade.
• Mudsdale's pre-evolution is the Ground-type Mudbray with Own Tempo and Stamina.
• You can ride various Pokémon using PokéRide which allows for you to travel on top of Pokémon like Charizard & Sharpedo.
• Z-Moves are utilizing the special bracelet that trainers have. The Z-Ring fits on a Trainer’s arm, and Z-Crystals are set into it. If a Pokémon holds the same variety of Z-Crystal, the two will be able to resonate with one another. Crystals that correspond to each Pokémon type have been found in the Alola region. There are two conditions for performing Z-Moves: a Pokémon must learn a move of the same type as a Z-Crystal, and it must be holding the corresponding Z-Crystal. When you see these moves in action in the game, each overwhelmingly powerful move will be on full display, filling the entire screen!
• There are now Island Challenges, one for each of the four islands. Complete the challenge, & you can battle the special Totem Pokemon. Beat the Totem Pokemon & you can challenge the Island Kahuna.
• Here's a list of New Pokèmon revealed so far & the Alola Forms.
Overall, I'm liking the new Pokèmon & forms so far. I'm actually looking forward to Sun/Moon.
21 通の返信Game Freak has officially run out of ideas! The presence of lazily - designed pokemon has always been there since generation One (see Voltorb), but the decline became sharply apparent w the release of Black/White (a literal garbage pokemon-God help us and continued to fall in X/Y (a set of living car keys). Now the game has been reduced to serving up rehashed versions of generation one relics. Even worse, some of these copy-pasted pokemon look utterly ridiculous and without any nuance (just look at Exeggutor - a giraffe - tree hybrid monstrosity). Furthermore, the multiple forms of the island bird Oricorio is just more evidence of a dry idea well. Surely the artists can dream up more creative critters than these bottom of the barrel scraps?

As new individual pokemon with their own entries or just a footnote in the old forms entry? -How will the new vulpix evolve? It used to evolve with a fire stone when it was fire so will there be a new ice stone? -Will island challenges replace gyms? -Are Z-powers completely replacing mega evolutions? Will megas be absent from gen 7?

3 通の返信I wonder if the new 3DS will hold any gameplay advantages over the regular 3DS, besides loading times. Frame rate, camera control? Honestly, if the frame rate is different, I may get a new 3DS, I'm that picky.

4 通の返信Alola kanto pokemons look cool soo far. Just don't pit them against steel types. (Sandslash and Ninetails in their Alola forms are 4x weak to Steel) Oricorio looks hella fun. Steal them dance moves. Soo happy Mudsdale got a pre-evo. Minior's ability has a lot of potential. Formantis and Lurantis looks like a combination of Florges line and Liligant line. Gumshoos is gonna make a wall in Alola! Oh my! Dunno what to say about the Z-moves... I was thinking about Zygarde when I first heard them. I do wish Megas are coming back. (Especially certain ones like Charizard Mawile, and etc need Megas) Hype train is here! All aboard!!

2 通の返信Megas Z moves Alola forms I remember when the day/night cycle was a stunning innovation. I hate to sound like an old man, but isn't this starting to get a little out of hand?
