This is kind of off topic, but you mentioned a zendyetta buff. Any other balance changes coming?

A few. For one, every character with a self heal is getting their ult charge slowed a bit. At the same time, they will all now recieve ult charge by healing themselves, whereas they didn't before. Mcree is getting higher damage at range, his effective range now being comparable to soldier's Mercy's ult will charge 10% slower, however her damage buff will be increased from 30% to 50%. She can also now move while ulting, and using her ult instantly resets guardian angel. Dva can no longer be killed by her own mech explosion. Her defense matrix is no longer on a timer, instead it can be toggled on and off at will and requires recharging similar to pharahs jetpack. Also, overtime is changing. After 20 seconds of overtime, the meter will start to decay faster and faster. Redrawn timers are also increased by 2 seconds in overtime. Lastly, next season of competitive with have a 1 hero limit. No more 2+ of the same hero on a single team. This is only for ranked, quick play will remain the same.

Thank you, this was very helpful. No word on exactly how they are buffing zendyetta though? Either way, I'm overjoyed with the damage boost as a mercy main, the ultimate charges extremely quickly anyway. I agree on the McCree range thing, too. His basic shot was relatively pointless.

Zenyatta is most notably receiving a buff to his shields. He will have 200 total health now instead of 150. His orbs of harmony and discord will now travel faster to their target (almost instant). He will also move faster when using his ult, which is and odd but welcome addition imo.

That's some pretty insane buffs. Zendyetta is going to be pretty insane, maybe. Blizzard seems to have a good sneeze of balance though (for overwatch anyway, hearthstone is hellhole atm), since they released Ava and she wasn't game breaking but still playable.

I played a good amount of zendyetta before. As long as you could discord/headshot you could easily out DPS most enemies, and he was previously the only healer for a team with multiple snipers, or a spread out team with low damage. The new character hasn't been out long though, so maybe people are still learning strategies for her.

I haven't played her, and I understand that theoretical situations can fail miserably in practice, but with good team communication, she could be good. You can double tank and double medic, one of the tanks having a slight amount of self heal like roadhog, the other medic being lucio. When the teams are all grouped you can use a grenade with amp simultaneously for near invincibility, and use the sleep dart to temporarily take threats out of the battlefield, or stop ultimates, all the while the grenade prevents enemy healing. I think she could be better with an assisted movement though, like a climb. Just so she can actually snipe effectively, whether it be friend or foe, and have an angle to place grenades.
