Essentially it would be a visible icon other players on patrol can see that can be turned on and off by an individual player. When the icon is ON that means if someone needs help they can send you a message to ask for help. If it is OFF then clearly you want to be left alone or are in the middle of a strike.
Think of it like the On Duty light on a taxi cab. If the light is on, flag the cab down. If not, find another cab. This icon would be visible only on patrols and in social areas. I think this would go a long way to helping people complete tasks.
Edit: To those saying I need help in Patrol. Come on man. Use some common sense. Its a suggestion to increase camaraderie within the game without needing to a website.

21 通の返信This is a cool idea. Something that can act as both as a "ready to help" message as well as a "Do not disturb." Thanks for sharing it.

That would be nice. I'm tired of getting random invites in the tower or reef with no explanation as to why I was invited. I usually know what it is during trials but, I don't like when people invite without asking. Especially when they don't know me.

31 通の返信Great Idea!! Maybe expand it to three settings? : - off - need help - willing to help

Good idea. Whenever I feel like going to patrol or strikes it's usually because I don't have anything better to do or I'm just doing some simple bounties. Nothing I wouldn't step away from if a random needed a hand

2 通の返信This not in the game because they dont want it in the game. The traffic the app and other sites get it what they wanted. Cozmo need to stop giving u guys hope.

This is a really good idea! Especially since there are so many new players that can quickly get to level 40, but that are at 285 light or lower and are still learning the game, e.g., it is harder to spot a newb that is in need of assistance than it used to be IMO.

10 通の返信What if someone is not looking for help, but doesn't mind playing with others? What about friendly/unfriendly mode like in gta v?

Yes it would be nice to if it didn't send you back to orbit just to join a fireteam right in front of you. I like the idea i was gonna do the nightfall solo and two people were short one person so i got an invite.

Gondimusにより編集済み: 7/13/2016 6:53:22 AMThis is actually a pretty cool idea, but applied to all activities. Being a long time player, sometimes it's fun to run with newer people through activities and see/hear the original excitement from completing stuff and getting drops. I had this happen on CoE the other night through the LFG system in here. Joined up with a couple of 320 guys who were mic'd up, but I didn't want to, so I stayed silent. As we went through, it was clear they hadn't completed it before (I know right? Easy to some of us, but others are VERY new and it's a struggle). They were literally getting almost no kills, but it was the primary/critical modifiers, so it was soloable. As we completed each round, the excitement I was hearing from them through the tv was really infectious. Lol. They were like, "yes, we did it"! Almost disbelief. It brought me back to my first days with Destiny: first raid completion, first nightfall completion, etc. It prompted me to mic up and talk to them and it turned out they were brand newish, only had one character, and were just figuring everything out. Like, they were literally asking what to do with ascendant energies. It was fun to talk them through stuff and explain the nuances of what has become old hat to a lot of us. Really reminded me of all the reasons I love Destiny. I'm kind of reclusive, and a little lazy, so unless I'm looking to join an lfg group for what I want to do, I usually won't creat my own group, i.e. for sherpa purposes. This would be a neat way to experience what I did with those guys, when I want to, without the hassle of creating an lfg group.
