I just lost four matches in a row and I lost count how many times I've gotten blained in the head.
Before someone tells me stop running into sniper lanes, trust me, I know how to play against snipers. I'm also using a scout rifle with single point sling to make me harder to hit. I also have another scout with high caliber rounds.
If I'm shooting a guy 3 times in the head with my scout rifle, he should not be able to headshot me back so easily. Unfortunately this happens way too often in destiny and it is complete bs. I just lost my last game on the final kill to this scenario.
The only other option is to charge the opponent and battle close quarters. Well guess what. They're using TLW like 90% of the time.
Honestly Bungie. It's been 2 years and this has been a problem for too long. Fix it. It doesn't make sense that the same 5 weapons are being used in all competitive modes, in a game which has hundreds of weapons.
I'm sick of being forced to use the same loadout over and over just to be able to compete. SBMM has made every match I get into super sweaty, so if I use any of the odd guns, I'm putting myself at a huge disadvantage.
I don't mind SBMM. Just fix the game so that all guns can be used. Not just 5.
Add more flinch to snipers.

2 通の返信They need to make one simple change to Snipers which is that Accuracy should drop to 0, when moving. Snipers are precision weapons meant to be fired from a distance, not a run-and-gun type of weapon. I have no issues when I get sniped from cross map, by someone off my radar, or even by someone at medium range who stops, squares up their shot, and gets me. Good on them. That's the way they're meant to be used. However, I take serious issue when I'm getting sniped by someone coming out of a dead run, or back pedaling to get away, or jumping up over cover and sniping me while airborne. They made shotguns slower by adding time to weapons-ready when coming out of sprint, why should snipers not have a similar warm-up period to reach max accuracy when coming out of movement?

1 返信Same for me destiny has become in a snipers fest no matter what even if they take damage they will still kill u with a magic headshots

Wouldn't be an issue if Bungie didn't keep nerfing primaries. There were many counters to snipers, but they got nerfed. The incompetent pushovers at Bungie, and the Crucibabies, are to blame for this mess.

I would either move sniper rifles to the heavy slogans buff them. Higher damage and accuracy maybe, along with more ammo? Or. Dramatically reduce their utility at close range and while under fire. Damage falloff at close range and a trigger lock when hit maybe?

I understand that a Sniper Rifle is supposed to pack a pretty big punch, but I don't and never have agreed with the most popular archetype of Sniper dealing roughly 85% of a standard Guardian's health for what might as well be a missed precision shot. I don't particularly enjoy being killed by a headshot from someone sitting at the back of the map, but I find it much worse that when I'm close enough to engage, they can hit one easy-to-hit bodyshot that leaves me within killing range of a single shot from a great deal of weapons *cough cough TLW cough cough*.

They need to descope when they get shot, that would solve everything. They will bitch and moan until they're blue in the mouth, but they can get over it. It's time the sniping kids realized that sniping does not make them cool.

1 返信Let's dispel with the notion that sniping is some highly skilful, difficult thing to master and should be treated in high regard above "dirty shotgun peasants" The only people who claim sniping in Destiny is hard are people who have never played another FPS or are only competent at sniping in Destiny which is a very different thing from sniping in Halo. It took around 2 weeks for people to realise how broken Widowmaker was in Overwatch due to bodyshot damage and scope in time. Why has it been two years yet snipers still do 170 damage for a BODY shot in Destiny yet primaries continue to become weaker?

3 通の返信Bungie should make it that a sniper descopes when they get hit with a precision shot. Would help resolve some of the issues with combating snipers!

Use mida, a high rate of fire pulse rifle/auto rifle. I always snipe and the flinch is insane from those guns. It doesn't even feel like they removed high calibre rounds from mida. When I used scouts I'd use a Cocytus and beat most snipers, I used to use it with a sniper and not even bother switching to the sniper even when I should, that's how good it is.

1 返信Even when I get the first headshot on a sniper with any gun I get sniped. Easy as that m. Primaries are useless in this game. Why even put them in?

21 通の返信I'll admit that AA needs to be reduced big time to prevent drag scoping being so easy but I don't see the snipe fest. Shotguns still rule in rumble and I see diversity in Control/salvage. I think most of you are talking about Trials. Of course snipers are every where in trials...it's elimination. It allows you to 1 shot people from a safe distance...it just makes sense. Blame the game mode

3 通の返信Storm Caltonicにより編集済み: 7/13/2016 5:20:46 AMWhich snipers were the ones killing you repeatedly? Could it possibly be 1000 Yard Stare, LDR 5001, or Longbow Synthesis? If yes, then that's due to the insanely high amount of aim assist those snipers can have. It's not ALL snipers, only those that skilled players use to get an unfair advantage over those who don't use them, which is a problem. Say my sniper has around 50 AA, relatively balanced, and I'm a skilled player. Now another person around my skill level that has 1000 Yard Stare with around 65-80 AA and we engage each other, take a lucky guess on who is going to have a higher chance of killing one another and having an easier time doing it? Kinda obvious. That's the problem. Aim Assist levels that high are giving skilled players an unfair advantage. While those who don't use those snipers are punished and those who use a different sniper, say Praedyth's Revenge, gets handicapped. Edit: spelling errors.

Remember that flinch is directional. This was discussed at length in one of the Crucible Radio interviews with Newsk. Shooting an enemy from the FRONT has far less flinch than from any other direction. The flinch system has a subtle directionality to it which helps you to identify where a bullet came from. If you were to stand still and be shot with zero damage bullets the flinch system would actually slowly rotate your character towards the point of fire. Obviously once you are facing the threat no further rotation is required so the flinch reduces in apparent severity - I believe that the flinch then seems very upwards. However we're all very good at countering upwards scope movement, that's basic recoil control for most FPS players. In order to get BETTER change, we need to call for precise alterations. I think that flinch when being shot from the FRONT should result in DOWNWARDS scope movement. This is completely counter to our normal instinctive gun control and would require countering in a different way to recoil thus requiring more skill. This would effect all gunfights.
