Iron Banner Disappointment?
Like many Guardians, I enjoy my PvP, and I usually embrace Iron Banner with all the gusto a shoulder charging Titan can muster...
...but this time, unless I have misread the update, it seems that the rewards are going to be capped at 320 (I.e. ghost packages etc), which is more than a little disappointing to be honest.
Does anyone know if any higher level (330+) gear is going to be available at all? Maybe from drops?
If not, then I fear that this IB will be effectively as pointless loot-wise as the last one (the one that dropped literally before the Light increase etc), and if so, then that would be a real shame, and a missed opportunity.
Thoughts?
Edit: looks to be a lot of speculation that the post game drops *could* drop at a higher level; would be great if this were the case!
Package rewards could also be dropping higher level loot, but is likely to be capped at 330 like other vendor/faction packages.
A lot of angry and abusive keyboard warriors poking their heads out of their caves as well, but hey, that's to be expected around here :)

I don't really care what LL things drop at. It is easy now to make anything a max level if you wish. What is more troubling is the stupidly easy bounties. They were easy before, and now even more so. A 1500 point game? Dumb. I'm not sure who they are catering to, but to remove any and all challenges in the game seems to be the route they are taking. By incrementally increasing drops they may as well reinstate reforging. God rolls should be rare, and special. Increasing drops only means that everyone will have one which leads to less variety in gameplay and everyone using the same things. I truly do not understand the genius behind the scenes here...

3 通の返信Bungie's lack of clarity on the issue is troubling. If Iron Banner will drop 335 gear, wouldn't Bungie be excited to tell us?

If you read the long April update post, it told us IB gear drops up to 335. The most recent update simply told us about the useless artifact and ghost that have both always dropped when reaching rank 3 and 5 respectively. Those, specifically, will be at 320.

1 返信no it says increased rank 5 package rank 5 packages previously gave you 310-320 gear and a 310 ghost now it should give you 320-330 gear and a 320 ghost

3 通の返信If you're taking about the guaranteed ghost and artifact, then yes, those will drop at 320 instead of 310. If you're talking about the iron banner end screen and rank 5 rewards, then those will drop up to 335, NOT guaranteed 335.

If all ib in ttk have been giving 310 ghost and artifact with drops higher. Why do you think that would change? They just bumped the guaranteed ghost and artifact to 320 is all. Drops will have a chance to be higher.

3 通の返信The rewards they mentioned are the guaranteed rewards from the packages, they used to be a 310 artifact and a 310 ghost shell, those rewards have been buffed to 320. Your other rewards from packages and from matches can drop up to 335 light.

I stopped caring about Iron Banner when I realized that, because rank 5 rewards were almost always armor or a weapon I already had, that because I skipped the Iron Banner with Colovance's Duty (Rift Iron Banner. Nope) I would never get one, and because the Iron Companion set looks like hot garbage compared to old Iron Banner sets (and the new Spektar and Jovian Guard gear). If I play this month, and don't rage because the new 335s completely own me, I'm just going to wear my New Monarchy mark, and worry about ranking up my factions. Iron Banner gear was only good for legendary marks anyway, lol.

6 通の返信Thought about giving IB another shot seeing they said that you could get 335 gear, but now they say packages are 320 (Faction Packages are higher) I'm gonna pass on IB again. Which means that if 335 gear does drop it will be at the end game rewards screen. Honestly, how often do you get drops there anyway?

In the past post game rewards are a good bit lower then your equipped light and your rank 5 package would give something between 310-320. Hoping this time end game rewards AND post game rewards can go higher then your current equipped light.

1 返信I think clash is very good for this community due to the fact 60% of the people don't know how to play control and play it like its Call of Duty Domination. Everyone just goes for kills.
