To those buying 20 to 40 dollars of sterling shit. You are actually killing this game and the franchise.
$20 used to get a raid, a bunch of guns, new exotics and a few story missions.
Bungie now sees how much you pay for trivial crap like a full set of armor and says to themselves. If they are willing to pay that much for a chance at reskinned armor set, we can get at least $60 for a ttk sized expansion and $30 to $35 for a dark below sized dlc.
Even if 3/4 of the remaining population doesn't buy these boxes, it will happen.
Buying armor is here to stay, now it's just a point of what they will sell next.

Here they come Here come the Succ Fish I heard it from a confident - Who heard it form a confidant They're definately on their way There's one with this idea Something about a hammer head shark Nosehairs and flatus Best keep your distance because Here they come here come the Succ Fish Bury your head deep in the sand Anonyminity is a virtue in this day and age Amazing hand dexterity Flagrant misuse of security Better run, run, run, run, run Run Run Run Run, here they come.

I won't lie; I'd actually shell out 50 per new box if it guaranteed a new and unique Shader or two, such as the Taken shader upon completing a set or a chance of a unique Shader based off an Exotic's base design and coloration (such as Feedback Gauntlet's Warsat armor). Shaders that change more than just the coloring, but also the material look and pattern. As for a testing drop rates, a full set of Desolate armor for me (including Mark/Bond/Cloak) took about 30 USD. The Emote came free upon equipping the set and leaving then returning to the Tower. In addition, both ships and sparrow dropped along the way. All things considered, this is better than the drop rates of other similar boxes in other F2P games, and usually only rewarding 1 item period.

1 返信I don't agree with Bungie's business practices. But I will keep buying Sterling treasure because I have no willpower and I want to be Taken.

I agree but unfortunately it's not just Sterling treasure in Destiny. Micro transactions have been around since last gen consoles and only got more popular because of the mobile gaming scene. People can stop buying sterling treasure today(which won't happen) and they will just find another idea to squeeze out some money. Btw I'm guilty for this aswell(just look at the emotes I have equipped).

OPC P1ncにより編集済み: 4/14/2016 2:21:04 PMThose who NOT buy sterling packages are setting a precedent for the future! So whats your problem again ??? Why do people need to cater your needs ? Are they not capable of making their own decission. I agree I dont like eververse...but to make others do your bidding... You might ask...but Im not sure many will be .... willing enough to listen If this does truly become P2W then I forsee less profit then if they dont ;-)

Some people waste thousands of dollars every year on discretionary spending ( food, entertainment, liquor, travel and even video games). Why should Bungie not be allowed to tap into this billion dollar market? If the demand is there it will continue. You may spend money on stuff I find to be a complete waste no matter how you justify it. People will always spend or waste money based on their preferences. You certainly wouldn't want anyone telling you how to spend you're money. This is no different.

Countless IDsにより編集済み: 4/14/2016 2:00:43 PMYou do realize If microtransactions were not here, and Activision couldn't make money off of dlc etc that the cost for the actual games would skyrocket up. To the 100s based off of game development costs. So I will happily support my game that I enjoy as long with other people because in the long run I rather enjoy some extra content then pay over 100 for a single game. Learn more about the industry before making these type of posts.
