This is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Algebra is a funded entail math, it's the biggest and most important brick in the math structure. You use algebra more than you would think. And obviously any sort of technical, mathematical, and so on jobs use it constantly

Lol. As soon as I passed algebra, with a D might I add. The next year I didn't have to take a math class and my GPA was at 3.6. Math is not for everyone haha. I definitely think there should be different paths for different students. But getting rid of algebra all together would be a huge mistake.

Hilarious. I honestly hope this happens. It'll be that much less competition to get the good jobs for my future children when I send them to a private school

Math is mostly useless anyway. In 8th grade we were thought how to work our finances like credit, being in debt, debit cards and other stuff that will actually help in the future. Now I'm in the 10th grade learning how a rectangle can be equal to another rectangle.

Good, let them learn about stuff that's actually interesting and useful. Been out of school for almost a decade, in the real world, and I've never once needed algebra. If you plan on pursuing a career that needs it, then you should take algebra. Forcing everyone to learn it is stupid because for the vast majority of people, it's a waste of time.
