The division flopped

Funny, never seen anyone saying it's "flopped", if anything it's succeeded beyond belief with the amount of sales it's gotten. Whether it deserves those sales or not, is another story entirely.

I hate people who think a game would kill another game. There are still tens of thousands of players playing Mass effect 3 on old gen and pc. Good games just don't die, not until the fkn servers get shut down. Besides. Additional competition in a genre is only ever good for the consumer (that's you). And the division differs from destiny enough to make them both unique enough to enjoy, not pick and choose one like a stupid little fanboy.

Flopped is subjective. Flopped to the person playing it is vastly different than inferring it's a bad game which hasn't been successful? Totally different. I love the game. I realize it isn't for everyone, especially twitchy youngsters who want to 720 no scope l33tskillz their way through PvP. The gameplay is slower in a lot of respects. As an adult almost halfway through my 40's, my experience so far has been stellar. That's just my opinion though.

I looked up the story on Wikipedia. Pretty dull, but it's a Tom Clancy game, it's hardly going to have some mind-blowing twist.

Played beta and thought it felt horrible,that being said its lore will never match a Mythic Scifi world like destiny or fantasy like WoW,due to the fact it's modern day if it was modern day but with an alien invasion or a portal from hell they could do alot more but have shot them selves in the foot Making it modern day.Also the guns don't have the interesting story's or mechanics like destinys do "have you heard of gjallarhorn?A rocket launcher forged from the dead guardians that fought at Twilight Gap and decimates everything". The division equivalent "hey see my AK-47 it has a red dot ". Just doesn't have the same feeling.But if you like it keep on playing it. ^_^

I have it and it blows. The drops suck. If you dont have good gear you get melted. Repetitive sponge enemies So bored. But go ahead and have fun. Btw Destiny has its problems but The division feels like Watch Dogs and Destiny had drunk sex and had a love child they put up for adoption.

Why do you care. Just go play the game instead is going onto the DESTINY forums to complain. I hate cod, yet I don't go on their forums and talk about how their game sucks. I just play other games. Plain and simple. If you like the division more than destiny then go play it. God forbid you play both.

I absolutely love the story, the main narrative is only a small part of it. The Intel really enhances the story. Not only dose it flesh out all the major characters and at least allows you to understand their motivations but it fleshes out the city. It gives you a sense of what you are fighting for. Additionally the Division: New York collapse compliments the game brilliantly and enhances the experience.

I didn't like the beta. That doesn't mean that I would hate the division. So anywho as I started to watch more gameplay of it, it has been catching my eye lately. I'm still debating if I should get it or not.

Got it, beat it, just average. I got two level 30 characters one 50 in DZ and the other 30 DZ. after getting most the high end gear and doing every mission (that has it) on challenge mode and getting every achievement I can tell you it has 0 replay ability. After a certain point it gets to be more of a chore.

I have it, it's a flop

I watched angry Joe's review, primarily because some of his stuff is entertaining, but had to disagree with him on some things. Imo I give the game (especially now with dz being a warzone) a 7.5, holding back .5 because we don't know what the incursion is like yet. It is easily imo the best ubi game since black flag though, and came along at the perfect time thanks to destiny content drought and mind numbing silence for so long. The story while not strong, is at least there and is told along with back stories if your a collectable person (this is truly worth it for once at least echo wise), the gameplay is solid, at least as solid as any 3rd person cover based shooter ever made, loot is plenty and when rng doesn't go your way, crafting more than makes up for it, customization is laughable only because I would rather my gear show not my apparel. With the most recent patch the dark zone is finally as advertised, a hostile war zone from which there is no protection. Its tense, agrivating, maddening, fun, and addictive along with having the ability to make you rage quit which for me is a blast (and I'm not that great at pvp regardless of game). When the destiny update happens I will balance the 2, but Poe was the reason for my first extended hiatus from destiny so who knows how long that will last. My biggest disappointment with the current Poe was gear/weapons, and no rotating boss each week. I really wanted a one week fallen, one week cabal, one week vex rotation for the final boss on hardest difficulty along with each having specific armor/weapon drops and skolas every week was just...meh.

Story? What story? Way worse then vanilla Destiny. Same enemy's and major bullet sponges,worse then anything in Destiny. After 2 weeks of playing I have completed all missions,all side missions,all missions for tech/security,/medical credits,and have found every single 293 items.I also got to rank 30 in DZ,no need to go any higher as that is the rank needed to buy items.I'm totally out of stuff to do besides challenge mode stories and that's a pain since the in game match making totally blows.
