Easily the most fun Ive had in a shooting game in a long time. Its challenging yet rewarding. I didnt go in there with my fingers crossed hoping my efforts were worth it(Nightfall, Raid) i knew the effort would pay off. I also managed to find a couple new friends along the way with the optional matchmaking system. We played the first mission and before we knew it we were knee deep into our 4th mission and eventually the Dark Zone (all rewarding experiences and tons of fun). To be clear this is not an anti-Destiny thread.....this is a pro gamer thread. No game should feel like a chore or give you the "Well let me get this over with" line that comes to mind when you think about a nightfall or Raid. I challenge all gamers to remember the first time you played a video game....the enjoyment you got...before you knew the ins and outs of the behind the scenes antics these companies use to fill thier pockets.........drop the ridicolous idea that you have to be "loyal" to a certain company.....when they have never been loyal to us.....will Destiny be back? Sure it will........but it is bone dry as of right now.....so instead bumping your head against the wall and waiting for new content.......branch out and try new things.......thank you for your time.......

I didnt go in there with my fingers crossed hoping my efforts were worth it(Nightfall, Raid) i knew the effort would pay off.
Rogue Spear, Raven Shield, Black Arrow, Lockdown, Vegas, Vegas 2 was played here. One big reason I am enjoying TD is the very simple fact that the Clancy games the majority of the time researched provided what I expected. Ubisoft (with the games I've played through history) has provided "Tactical" in gaming as opposed to twitch-shooters and when the scenario is executed... the payoff is big in a rewarding sense. To be able to sneak through an alleyway, and get the drop on a team of players who have your team pinned, without wondering if you can rely on the developer to not nerf the crap out of your gear you earned with friends is extremely satisfying.
I also managed to find a couple new friends along the way with the optional matchmaking system.
The fact that I can match make on the fly at any given moment has done the same for me. Not only that... but there appears to be a filter level for maturity that has been setting this game apart from lil baby codlings and tantrum-players. The fact the game requires more forethought from a player either filtered out those who lack forethought, or embraced those who enjoy enabling it. It's not Arma by any means. But it's damn good.
We played the first mission and before we knew it we were knee deep into our 4th mission and eventually the Dark Zone (all rewarding experiences and tons of fun). To be clear this is not an anti-Destiny thread.....this is a pro gamer thread.
Same. I can agree with this. There hasn't been non-rewarding experiences. In earlier R6 games some items were unlocked through level progression either story campaign or pvp whether user oriented content or cosmetic. TD balances not only both of those, but literally rewards you for grinding at your chosen pace. If a vendor item is 25k, you only need replay missions at a minimum of 2500 credits or higher. And Ubisoft doesn't have any activision overlord contract stipulations requiring your product has a certain amount of hours playing to validate their supposed 500m. None of that is questioned here.
No game should feel like a chore or give you the "Well let me get this over with" line that comes to mind when you think about a nightfall or Raid. Not only that, but I really don't see content lockouts coming. If anything gets restricted via DLC it's because compatibility patches shouldn't allow a dlc item to be traded with a non-dlc-owner. I've never had Ubi lock me or my friends out of playing together to force a dlc purchase in the history of playing with them. And no, no one should be loyal to a company who states on neogaf that disagreeing means nothing to them, claiming its community will "throw money at them" for what's literally worthless implying we don't know what's worthless, all while another rep states his games community feedback is "rants he doesn't have time to read".
will Destiny be back? Sure it will........but it is bone dry as of right now.....so instead bumping your head against the wall and waiting for new content.......branch out and try new things.......thank you for your time.......
23 of the original like 38 destiny players from day 1 on my list are playing Division. Every one of them kept in touch and told me why they left Destiny. Destiny wasn't the problem. Luke Smith -"Money at the TV" Luke Smith- "Vanilla activities lockouts" Jason Jones/Luke Smith- "Gear not telling your story" Sage Merril-"Im too busy to read the community's rants". Jon Weisnewski/Sage Merril-"we knew a guy at Bungie good with it, so we nerfed it" Luke Smith-"going to his 2 four-year-old nieces for implementation of game function instead of the community" Bungie-Saying the games "not an mmo and running it like one" cause Luke Smith doesn't know better. Jason Jones-"Non existent saying nothing for a year and a half" unlike other Dev Company presidents who acknowledged their community. The list is endless. Destiny isn't dead by any means. The developer is.

Like days ,weeks, months, i always have fun when i play no matter what the game is . Maybe video games are not for you ,maybe arts and crafts are more your speed.

6 通の返信Never thought about a raid, nightfall, challenge, daily, etc. As a chore. So I can't really see why you'd say this other then that it was that way to you. Division has been a blast since day one, but I've often gone into the DZ for a few hours and left with the only thing waiting for me are items to dismantle into materials.

8 通の返信Eh I hate that u have to go into pve/pvp area for best gear. Rather have the vendor at Base of Operation sell the same level stuff so i can just do pve
-
3 通の返信Knock it off, the game is only two weeks old. Come back when you have sunk a couple of thousand hours into the game, and we will see if you are still saying the same things.
-
6 通の返信I wish that there was more of a reward for going rouge it would make it so if you accidentally go rouge your not completely -blam!-ed
-
4 通の返信Drop rates been nerf and the loot you get in the dark zone is crap. Plus you more likely get a clothes then anything worth a crap.
-
I hit rank 50 and got all my blueprints. It's not fun to grind but afterwards me and a group of guys would just go into the lvl 32 zone and wait for people to wander up then kill them. Nobody chases rogues that high.

24 通の返信Give TD a year plus and the. We will see if you feel the same way your in the honeymoon phase it's a new game a distraction from destiny you'll be back as soon as Bungie drops some new shit

11 通の返信I'm waiting to play the DZ until I get some better weapons. I completely agree with what you said...a game should be fun and rewarding! The Division hits a home run in that department, and it is very, refreshing! Although, I highly doubt bungie can comprehend what you, I and a lot of others are saying.

2 通の返信The division is really good and tons of fun you dont know what loot youre gona get when you finish a mission plus they look like mini raids. well designed missions and environment a couple of bugs but when you log out by accident youre able to come back at the mission right away so you dont lose your time. Theyll patch it, ubisoft did a good job

4 通の返信Dear Yung, I'm afraid too many commenters have completely missed the point of your post. I, on the other hand, agree wholeheartedly. I'm on PS4 and intend to be a "good guy" in Division. Bungie has lost me (for the most part).

77 通の返信Hit level 6 and was bored. Great graphics. 3rd person cover shooter is shit. I will keep trying more games.

4 通の返信You must be a low level. The dark zone is easy as -blam!- and never drops any thing decent.
