Edit 4 (Last probably) If you donate, say something you are from destiny the community, to show the kid destiny fans from the game he loves are behind him

19 通の返信People get sick all the time. People die all the time. There are people all over the world that need transplants. This shit happens all the time. I'm not saying i don't care, because it's a sad story and good to hear the operation was successful but this kid is no different from any other person in need. This person needed help? Yes. But a gun in a video game? What makes him special? There are all types of people that play this game and get sick, what about them? I don't quite understand it.
InB4People give insults instead of giving actual reasons.
2 通の返信I'm in school right now on track to become a doctor and I have been studying how we are able to print organs. Soon organ waiting lists will be a thing of the past! It's actually extremely fascinating how it works and simple at the same time!

10 通の返信Stories like this really help to put things in perspective. As a community it's important that we not lose sight of the fact that we spend an incredible amount of time playing and talking about a game. This child is facing a real-life challenge of monumental proportions. Let's keep him and his family in our thoughts and prayers. There are ways in addition to gofundme to raise money and more importantly awareness for children in similar situations. This is not a new suggestion, but it bears repeating. Myself and others have posted on this subject in the past. Bungie has at its disposal a very powerful tool that could be used to raise money/awareness. Here's how: Why not do something similar to what was done for Nepal relief but expand on it? Guardians could make donations through Bungie that would go to children with a health crisis. In return, players would get exclusive gear and access to an exclusive event that would drop 320 gear. Only Guardians who donate would get access to the gear and the event. My preference would be a PVE event. However, if it's for the benefit of children, I wouldn't bitch if it were PVP. This could be an annual or semi-annual event. How about it Bungie? You want people to throw money at their screens, then give them something real with a face that actually looks back at you and says thank you for making a difference.
