The one you posted looks fine burrito. With all the accessories that will bring you to about $2000. A 980 should easily last a couple years, by then the price of them will have gone down and you can just buy another one, run SLI, and you'll be good for another couple years if you want. I'm not really sure about that hard drive, it has no reviews on newegg, you might want to go with something a little more reputable. It's really up to you to get what you want. I like to color match mine, or buy the coolest looking one. Unless your chasing overclock numbers or something you really don't have to be too picky as long as its a decent brand.

  •
looks fine
I was wondering if folks had any improvements to make to it, myself. 'Fine' is lame-sauce. 'Excellent' is victory.
I'm not really sure about that hard drive, it has no reviews on newegg, you might want to go with something a little more reputable.
How can you know what one to get or if it will even fit in wherever it needs to go?
It's really up to you to get what you want.
Yeah. I just don't really know what I want is my issue. I just don't want to have buyer's remorse because after I do it, someone goes 'oh you should have gotten THIS one it runs better' or something. I dunno anything about any of this.

There's always a better computer, but the parts you have picked out should run ultra without any problem. There's not much better than a 980ti, G.skill ram is great, I7 6700k will handle whatever you throw at it. That case is entirely boring, but that's just what I think. Western Digital, Seagate, and Samsung are all good hard drive brands. The one you picked might be fine, now that I look at it Hitachi is part of WD, so it's probably fine. I just like to get things with reviews. As far as if something runs marginally better than something else, I don't really know. I haven't looked at parts that closely in a year. But I do know that it won't really matter with hardware like that. All in all it's totally a awesome setup, buy it and play division with me plz

I didn't make this list I posted after all- it was just a google result, hah.
play division with me plz
Alas, I'm Division on Xbone.

  • Just remembered, if you get a 980ti right now it comes with PC division with it right now.

  • Mostly kidding about the case, but anything that fits an ATX motherboard (any case except M-ATX mostly), will be fine and have plenty of room. The case has no bearing on how good the computer is, so it's totally personal choice. I've had the cheapest metal case I could find and the $300 one I have now, they both get the job done. Since you'll be gaming I'd try to get one with at least 4 fans. You may need to buy an extra fan or two since some cases don't come with them. Most should have that many fan mounts though. Personally I would get a WD black or blue 1tb hard drive. If you run out of space down the road just add another one. I'm using an 5 year old 1tb hard drive that I should probably replace, but I've never actually had 1tb of stuff that I couldn't delete to make more room. The SSD is where you'll put the OS and anything you use often, but I'd rather have a good reliable HDD too.

  • Fans? I... is that in the link? Is that a CPU cooler? Everything you said went right over my head, hah.

  • Sorry haha. So that case you posted has 5 places to mount fans but only comes with two. So you might want to get 2 or 3 more with the case. I think they are all 120mm fans. The cpu cooler you posted is fine. Or whichever CPU cooler you want. The processor itself will come with a cpu cooler, but it's a good idea to get an aftermarket one.

Then within a year or two you'll catch the bug and do stupid stuff like this :/
