Remember when you'd be so excited it was Friday and Xur would be showing up with something interesting, preferably something you didn't have. Maybe it's just me but he holds no mystery now, no excitement. He's a 3oC farm for me and that's about it.
So I say add a random 320 item that costs a decent amount of coins. This way every week you're guaranteed to either go up in LL or at least have the opportunity to or infuse obviously. The best idea? Probably not but just a thought.
What do you guys think he needs?

My issue is that in Y2, Bungie has devalued Exotics by making them so costly to level up. Unless on the rare occasion that an Exotic drops at 310, the resulting Exotic perk just isn't worth all the resources you need to utilize the perk and get it to 310. It takes a shit-ton of shards, armor/weapons parts, glimmer more powerful weapons/armor to get a 280 Exotic maxed to 310. I've got a vault full of Exotics that don't get used because my Legendary gear is better and easier to level up and easier to come by for the most part. Xur is a pusher of Exotics and because Bungie has marginalized Exotics, then yeah, Xur's not much use. And when you've got Lengendaries that drop at or can reach 320-330... Exotics? Meh.

7 通の返信Xur is not broken. Xur is not meant to supply endgame gear. 3oC, synth and needles, plus the occasional engram. Starting players need him.

Things like: raising light level on gear Exchanging all mats between each other(1st Galactic Bank of the 9) reforge of armor/weapns for a fair amount of $? And sell legendary engrams for coins. I want some that roll different weapons other than VG and crucible like cryptarch seems to do. And sell exotic shards. Serious deficit now that all exotics are infusion fuel and it can take 5 shards to max an exotic light level. Never get any comin in... [b][i][u]PLUS![/u][/i][/b]... Other things... And As mentioned by others; definitely bounties ....or missions/quests of sorts. Weekly ones or perhaps just have to finish by the time he leaves. Could be similar to queens wrath. Give a boss to hunt down. Just thought of something else! A full unique set of The Nine gear! All armor, ghost, artifact, class for each guardian. And one of each weapon type and archetype! The bounties could reward them or he bring a different one each week to sell or something. But we would need to make the nightfall guarantee coins each run if he expands his inventory.

Items that are potentially available from Xur and unique to him would help generate excitement. Also special upgrade materials occasionally available that would allow the upgrading of legendary Y1 to Y2 status would create a buzz, too.

He should bring a random non raid, non exotic year 1 weapon [b]package[/b] every Friday at 280 light. Imagine if he brought a weapon package that your could buy with 10 strange coins. Like the gunsmith this package would give you 3 different choices. But instead of different rolls for one weapon, it would be 3 different year 1 weapons and you can only pick one. He would sell a primary weapon package one week, then next week he would sell a special weapon package, and then the third week he would sell a heavy weapon package. So on and so forth. These packages can also include OG iron banner weapons also (I would love to acquire a Year 2 Efrideet Spear or Silimar's Wrath) These weapons wouldn't be reforgable (as to keep year 2 weapons relevant) Imagine running Trials with Silimar's Wrath, The Comedian (Shotgun), and the SWARM one day.

9 通の返信Tbh 3oC killed destiny. So much of destiny is collecting everything, you made it suuuuper easy to get all the exotics. Granted the quest rewards were a nice touch, but even the chaperone and first curse questlines were too easy. I say make all exotic armors and weapons difficult quest rewards. Give me something to do in this game
