(Sorry for the caps but seems people just read headline and post things.) I've noticed as I'm sure we all have noticed that fallen captains not a major that you need to kill for the omolon sniper testing are rare and always see people competing and even KSing (kill stealing) to accomplish this. As we all know scorge of winter is a good place to farm exotic endgrams as long as u die before or same time as the ultra even a second late will alow u to reap awn and ruin your checkpoint. Well if u restart the mission,and as you come out of the caves and the catch ship flies in to drop more troops just go to the 2nd ledge, (above the 1st platform with enemy's on it and snipe down to the path leading to the ship. Either midway or closer to the ship there is a captain. Take him out walk of ledge, rinse and repeat.
