Smoke + Vortex combo is honestly nooby
Really lame and low skill IMO. just thorw smoke and vortex = guaranteed kills. especially off the revive
EDIT: Its the wombo Combo. I think kjhovey created it/named it

"He stole the term wombo combo!" >.> I was on stream one day and a viewer asked me to try the envenom smoke + grenade combo. I used it and had a lot of fun with it. Another person in stream jokingly said it was the wombo combo, probably because I often talk about competitive melee. We thought it was funny and just started using it. That's it... no reason to get jimmies rustled :P. I showcased it in some videos, which probably helped to spread it. That's it.

That being said I got news for ya kid. Smoke and vortex aint nothing revolutionary. I've been doing it since the beginning. It's common sense. Why is it OP, noob, skrubish or cheese to use valid effective techniques? It seems like the only way to play appropriately is to get lucky using some god awful play style. 3 通の返信Use spike grenades on unsuspecting idiots in a tight corner. Watch the kill feed light up. Happened 4 times last weekend of trials.

Yeah but it's not OP so who cares? No disrespect towards you at all but I feel we could say the same about sticky grenades. So long as they're within proximity to target they track and stick. Is there really any skill to using them? Plus the thing I find that lacks in effect with the "wombo combo" is that you need two grenades for it to take effect. Plus the smoke grenade doesn't track so you do in fact need better aim for these grenades to stick. Thoughts?

1 返信Having to have the melee ability that grants oversheild on hit is nooby. Hunters don't have anything that gives them an overshield.

3 通の返信Warlock Sunsinger's "Melee + Shotgun" combo is much worse. I can handle Smoke + Vortex, but Sunsinger's Melee + SG combo is borderline OP.

6 通の返信As a hunter main who uses that a ton it is nooby. You shouldnt be able to slow somone down, and damage them with that slowdown smoke and throw a grenade at their feet when they cant move out of it.

Well they are getting rid or their Meele ability and grenade to get that kill off. I remember when it took a lot less. 2 hs Thorn or 1 shot felwinters. I'd say it's a fair trade and definitely strategic for area control. I don't see how it's noobish at all

4 通の返信The term "Wombo Combo" was made in reference to a Super Smash Bros Melee tournament 2v2 win where one team juggled the other team back and forth between each other without taking a single hit before they proceeded to kill both other players. Takes alooooooot more skill than throwing a few grenades. Vortex/Envenomed not even close in any way to "Wombo Combo" plus if he throws both right on top of you A. He has good aim or B.
