Because people didn't know how to shotgun melee at the time.
Now the super is shorter, slower, has nerfed melee range, and has terrible hit detection, especially in air.

Pay close attention to how aggressive the lunge is. Especially when he's in the air.

For a super that requires you to be up close, this is pretty bad.

I just trade with a player, or I get killed by every other super in game.
Conspiracy theory vs arc blade every time.
Also hammers seem to be a bit broken too.
They sometimes detonate a bit too early when tracking a player, causing player to survive.
Blink strike doesn't always connect.
Instead of nerfs. Can we get some fixes?
Also you pve players that know little to nothing about year 1 arc blade, that actually believe this was just a series of misses.

I say it's fine as is just to keep hunter as the most balanced class so far. Some may disagree but think, all their super don't have a health buff and two only have up to three shots whereas Titans have strikers and hammers, warlocks have almost endless storm rage AND nova bomb AND self Rez with endless burning grenades as well as a minor health buff.....

It's really annoying as a blade dancer in crucible mainly because it has no armor, it's easy to avoid if you know what you're doing/if you get lucky, and it runs out fast. I use hungering blade to have health but when you get head shot or melee shotgunned it's pretty annoying

5 通の返信You never actually came close to hitting him. One thing the vid shows though is that agility in general needs a buff. No way in hell he should have been able to outrun a class that is completely agility based and also in mid super. Armor and recovery make a noticeable difference in any build, agility should too.

3 通の返信Everything is fine with the super the way it is now except for the short stopping and hit detection problems. Arc Blade has behaved more like a sword since the 2.0 update with lunging. The short stopping is ridiculous and needs to stop.

Let's make something clear, I'm not saying some of the problems you listed aren't true(a lot of which actually aren't) but it has no direct correlation with Bungie "nerfing" the class. Go look for patch notes it wasn't nerfed. The speed is the same, the duration has [b]not[/b] been shortened, the melee was not nerfed, and the big one: the armor wasn't nerfed. There are bugs in general to all melee abilities but it hurts BD the most because the super is centered around melee. People swear the armor was nerfed but think about it. A whole year went by of a good portion of the players cowering before a bladedancers wake, did you think players wouldn't eventually adapt? Idk about you guys but I've been killing BD with the same exact techniques since launch. Hasn't ever been any change in the amount of damage i have to put out to kill one. Don't get me wrong, the melee is really messed up but it's a tri class problem right now. Fuсk, even radiance melees don't work half the time. I suggest adapting like other players did until bungie addresses the melee. Use the "inertial blink" instead of swiping around wasting your super. Don't make posts screaming about how bungie -blam!-ed up your class but is trying to make it discreet. [spoiler]Also, I can't stress enough how much I don't give a shit about your proof of nerfs that don't exist. Just admit it isn't true, the armor/speed/duration nerf didn't happen. [/spoiler]
