For a class that takes the most skill to use effectively, and from medium range, it is terribly underwhelming in PVP.
Tether takes WAY too long to activate. The arrow is pretty slow and easy to avoid. The new Void Wall grenade is basically RNG on which direction the wall will go, meaning most of the time you'll try to throw around a corner, but it's angle is totally off.
Vanish in Smoke doesn't get the benefits of Lockdown, so it's wasted in PVP.
Predator. Where do I start with that. Void traps sound good on paper, but are super easy to avoid. It's rare I actually get someone with it unless the tether is on an objective point. As soon as it registers an enemy near it, it charges up with a noise, the person just needs to keep sprinting normally to get out of range hilariously easily.
Snare doesn't have the problem Predator has, as the Smoke Grenade detonates immediately, but Predator should be doing the same. You already went through the trouble of using up your Super bar to set up a trap, so it should already be primed and charged and ready to tether.
Also, firing it is such a hassle. The best way to fire it is stationary from the ground, because even if you're walking and use it you'll just float away into oblivion, never to be seen again. The anti-grav floating thing is just way too much for this super. Why not go stationary in the air? Sure, there's situations where you can activate, float around a corner, and fire immediately at an enemy, but those are few and far between.
I dunno. Nightstalker just seems super underpowered, even with it being a support class.
What are your thoughts?
EDIT:: There's a lot of anger in the comments. Seriously? Yeah, I made this post, but it's just a game :\ What's with the inconsolable rage? Did mommy not bring home dinner or something? Sheesh. It's just a forum. Just a game. No need to throw things around your room before commenting.

1 返信Well it's a support super. Not suppose to be anything special. And nightstalker get shadestep. Which right now is the new blinks hot gun. But with invincibility frames.
-
1 返信From it's inception bungie stated it's designed as a support class, just like defender titans. Both subclasses can be used to great effect in a coordinated fireteam, but are out shined by the other subclasses in terms of your abilty to unleash wholesale slaughter.
-
4 通の返信support subclass... first and foremost. second it is actually a beast in pvp in the right hands. radar.. so useful nades are perfect for objective games, may not be instant kills but apply heave pressure and zone control supers are okay, get blood bound and a rocket and u can scrap the whole team that's on a zone, quiver if u wanna roam and snipe people with ur arrow.
-
I use VoidWall and venom smoke, together, it's quite effective. Shadestep helps in those up close battles, if my reflexes were better it can be beastly. Quiver, the arrow tracks and will turn some if your locked on. Granted it's not the most powerful, but it can get kills, generate orbs, anchor people down for quick easy kills, and if need be shuts downs supers (using two bows for some) supers should be counters for other supers, if it did it in a single shot, being able to shut down three supers consistently would be OP
-
1 返信I did well with NS in IB. Vortex grenade + two poison smoke bombs = frequent multi-kills. Quiver to shutdown enemy supers. It's a support class. Use it correctly and it's fantastic.
-
I agree in some aspects, smoke nades are op. The delay thing with the anchor pisses me off. In trials yesterday I bowed 2 guys with black hole shade stepped away to shoot them. N I got nova bombed by an all ready thethered warlock. Happens to often.
-
The one PvP issue with shadowshot that I see, is that there is a suppression delay. I once shot a sunbreakers and after the arrow hit him, he threw a hammer and killed me,then he got suppressed about 2 seconds later

xSilverWolfx123により編集済み: 1/3/2016 6:02:15 PMHonestly I am not the best at pvp (sniping is my strong suit). I do a lot better on my warlock in pvp, (like top of the leaderboard). But as soon as I go on my hunter, which is my main character, I automatically just suck at pvp. I have had a lot of practice with shadow shot so I am fine in the aspect but usually I suck at pvp with my hunter and I am great with my warlock. So I know how you feel. Rage enduring comment for Titan fans down below. VVVVVV
I don't own I Titan because I don't like them and I find them to be horrible. I used to have one at lvl 40 but I deleted it.
bewalkにより編集済み: 1/3/2016 6:01:53 PMBro sorry to say but i think you're playing it wrong if you think its underpowered, the void arrows alone are fine and have auto tracking, so you shouldn't be missing unless you aiming like a monkey... most long shots are alot easier to hit IMO and deal good amount of damage. They will neally always 1-2 hit if you are fighting someone in super (aka HoS titan) 1 shot to strip his super and either finish up with another if using quiver or shoot them ... Titans HoS had a smaller hitbox now and i can still manage to do long shots , so practice on aiming it mid jump and i am sure you will be fine.

1 返信Swiftlockにより編集済み: 1/3/2016 3:01:31 PMSeems fine to me. Sounds like you're not using the class correctly. Like Defender, Nightstalker is a more support-oriented subclass that requires preemptive planning rather than an offensive spearhead like Voidwalker or Striker which are masters of instantly shutting down threats. If we're going to talk about underwhelming subclasses, that honor goes to the Bladedancer, which has greatly fallen victim to nerfs.

1 返信What is this? A hunter asking for a buff? You sir are starting a revolution.

Nightstalker is my favorite to use in PvP because it's so fun. Double snares, vortex grenade with lockdown and sealed grasps is where it's at. Throw a snare and as soon as they walk through it, throw your grenade and it's like an insta kill. Trickiest part is using the bow. I run black hole and if I hear/see a super coming at me, I shoot the bow in front of me. By the time they get to me, they're tethered. Sometimes I just shoot the bow directly at someone if I'm under fire and not gonna win the fight.
-
I think its alright but i definitely see your points. I would like the activation of tether to be faster forsure. Tether someone in a super and it takes couple seconds to activate. Kinda unfair because if a titan activates hammers for example, they kill you immediately on impact. Teather also kills on impact however it should also activate immediately on impact as well.

2 通の返信I would say you're using it wrong. For one everyone is concerned with getting a kill...so they use quiver. Instead they should just use gunslinger. It's a support super, and should be treated as such. You see a sunbreaker with his super (which most tend to jump around...a lot), don't go for a direct hit...drop it where he is going to land. Using black hole there is no escape for him/her. See one activating, shoot them or their feet. The shadowshot animation is fairly short, and can catch many supers just as the animation ends (especially with black hole). For the traps try just behind doors or cover where it won't be so easily seen. It's much stronger than people give it credit for...you have to think about how to use it. I'm not saying don't go for kills with it...but don't only worry about getting one to three kills.
