You all said that Bungie would never fall for the "slippery slope" but look were we are now. 30$ (ranges depending on region) for a character boost. It doesn't matter if this is only a sliver of levels, it doesn't matter if it gets you to max or not. What matters is the fact that Bungie IS now on the slippery slope. All you fanboys and clinkers to the game said it wasn't true, we'll have fun getting an answer from Luke smith then.

And the only way to encourage new players to hop in, is by somehow letting them skip some of the grind that everyone since launch has already done. WoW does it, and I'm sure almost all mmo type games do as well. It's the same reason why new players were able to get the entire base game and all expansions, for the same cost as what we paid for vanilla. And bitch all you want, but the facts are new influx of players is largely what keeps games like this going. It may seem stupid now, but in 5 years when you want a new friend to pick up destiny to play with you, how likely do you think that will be to happen when you tell him he has 500 hours before he's anywhere close to being able to actually play with you? It's a boost for new players to be able to hop into new content. And as the levels advance, so will the boost. Because it is a necessity to keep the player base populated. I know hopping on the destiny hate bandwagon is the trendy thing to do right now, but stop being a lemming and start actually thinking for yourself. Or just call me a desticle since that's probably the best comeback a lemming can make.

Heartlessにより編集済み: 12/16/2015 5:55:42 PMYour right, just so right. I said that and I now know I am a sinner and I repent. Please please for the love of [insert name of chosen deity here] please forgive me my shameful ignorance. I will pay any price, undertake any hardship to..... Oh hold on I just remembered I don't give a fuck!

1 返信Ehh I'd say we're half way down the slope. We haven't reached the (pay)wall yet so until then I'm good.

2 通の返信In response, Bungie’s Luke Smith took to Twitter to quell some of the concern. “We aren’t (nor are we planning) on selling consumables that buff King’s Fall drop rates for Silver,” he writes. We’ve inquired with Bungie about the other items on the list, including XP boosts, subclass unlocks, and “starter packs.”

Although they are getting dangerously close to heading towards the bad side of microtransactions, they're still not doing pay to win like everyone is screaming about. They have merely provided a shortcut for players who can't be bothered to grind (a stupid shortcut at that, far too expensive for a spark of light). It's not as if they're letting players spend that much money to jump to level 50, or giving them exclusive guns and armor which is more powerful than 320. Yes I can understand the concern. But it still doesn't matter, and bungie still have kept to their promise of no pay to win. (so far).

You're an idiot. It's not an eververse transaction so they kept their promise there, it's not a benefit as you can get to level 40 in a day for free, and it gives you no advantage compared to other players. So you're a slightly higher level than the other players. So what?

1 返信Sparky, it's a boost to 25. It allows new players to access newer content upon purchase, not stalk zone to zone pumping overpowered rounds into colleagues and coworkers with a Tex Mechanica hand cannon.

It's whatever. Think of it like this. Say you are playing need for speed most wanted(the new one). You play the game normally and someone else buys the timesaver pack. They have most of the content before you do. However this does not affect your experience as much because they still getting the same content in the game. Now over to Destiny. Like the timesaver pack, the xp boost while overpriced is essentially the same. They technically aren't getting any exclusive weapons or armour when they purchase that. They have the same content as a person already playing this game. This doesn't make it pay to win. But is getting close. Once the exclusive item that will give an advantage over everyone else comes out, that is when it's pay to win. So right now we don't want that so speak with you money. Eververse was problematic from the beginning. Now I can't stop you from buying from eververse but if you don't want to see pay to win then choose wisely as to what you buy from Tess. Thanks have a good day.

3 通の返信So many Salty Cry Babies! Basically paying for a "spark", so people with more money than time can level up second/ third characters. How about everyone holds off on the freak outs until "pay to win" actually happens. I'd boot all you negative click bait babies off the forums if I could.

You have a problem with people paying to get to a level 15 below what everyone should be right now? Who cares? If it gives them so much of an advantage take them into a hard mode raid with you, they'll obviously be able to carry a team being at level 25.
