Who else has been collecting exotic engrams for Dec update?
I've been collecting them to decrypt once the update is live (hopefully tomorrow). I have majority of them all from year one, I'd just rather decrypt to have them drop at 310 rather than have to level those things up from 280 if they were purchased from the kiosk. Anyone else doing this? I'm on Xbox one and will be running a lot of strikes tonight if anyone is interested in joining up and doing work!
Edit: it worked assholes all of you can go -blam!- yourselves and be salty with no new exotics!

1 返信Once you pick up the engram it is already decided what it decrypts to. There is not a way to save them for a patch and hope they decrypt into a new weapon. Does not work that way. Ive tried it with exotic and legendary engrams from other expansions and they are always the old gear.

The engrams dropped before the patch will only decrypt into pre patch gear you will not be able to turn it in for the new weapons so stop wasting three of coins and wait until the patch hits then farm for some.

3 通の返信It doesn't work. Most you will be able to get from this is possibly getting new gear from the Cryptarch when your Exotic engrams level him. As for the 310 thing, it already does that once you hit 301 but is random.

Hello fellow packers fan. Unfortunately those three of coins you have wasted are useless to obtain the exotics that are coming. Save the 310 gear that you will get from them to infuse into your new gear once you start farming after the patch. Ps. I can't wait for Montgomery to be back. We need to bench Adams. He can't catch a ball.

11 通の返信Um super genius, as soon as the engram drops the game has already decided what it is, you are quite literally wasting inventory space by doing this.

2 通の返信Y1 engrams decrypt at Y1 values. Pre-patch engrams don't give post-patch engrams. In other words, you can hoard but to what end?

Let me guess... When you don't get what you are incorrectly expecting, you'll be among the first to b!tch at Bungie for failing with the December update by not giving you new exotics that were not in the loot table at the time your saved (date-coded) engram was collected..

28 通の返信Everyone who says engrams are predetermined is wrong. That was for year 1 and for DLC. Not updates. Now with light mattering and the "smart" loot system the cryptarch checks these things and your class and they play into your rng.
