Slow clap emote in E3 2013.
So I was looking through some old destiny videos trying to remember how much has changed since Year 1 and I stumbled upon this video on Bungie's You Tube channel.
Before I give you the link, please know I'm still having a awesome time with this game and don't care what Bungie does, as long as it doesn't ruin the enjoyment. Here is the link:

After the guy kills the archon priest he starts dancing and his friend does the slow clap emote. How do you feel about this?

Edit 1: So 3 days have passed and this post has gotten around 650 replies, I would say thank you but after seeing that people are done with the game, I feel guilty of hammering the stake into the heart. Right now I'm still debating over if me sharing this was the right thing to do.
Hopefully you guys will get some news about this from Deej or Cozmo but if they are reading this then take action, don't just ignore. Each and single person who plays this game wants this game to be the best.
Ok, to break that seriousness I'd like to thank you guys for being civil at least. <3

Many of us pointed this out among other things the first week Destiny was launched, and we were slandered and shunned from these forums for accusing Bungie of exaggerated planned obsolescence. Yet here we are in year two and some of you are acting like this is something that surprises you. Just saying, tons of us knew about cut content, tried to spread the awareness and only got dislikes and naive fools telling us we were wrong... long before this trending thread was ever thought of. Just sayin.

I guess there’s a small chance that people got pushed over some edge with this news. Personally I think people upset by the slow clap emote are talking about a symptom. The actual disease is they are not having fun with the game in it’s current state relative to the money they paid. I cannot get my head around cut content. For me it’s not about what is sitting on a server, or on a drawing board, or even on a disc. It’s about what I got for my $1. If it’s not enough, I’ll make note of it next time I buy from a developer/publisher. I’ll wait for reviews, I’ll push that purchase out a bit. I’m a little gun shy on ubisoft for reasons along these lines. Games I love but some are short, some are buggy so I wait for info or a price drop. I know (because Bethesda shows it every time) that Fallout 4 will have bugs and my time and money are better spent waiting for the GOTY edition (which I will have a crap ton of fun playing down the road).

1 返信Well thats a little dissapointing. I -blam!-in love bungie too :/ im not blind to their faults but its getting to be a bit much. Im still here because they made an excellent game. The way theyve made the game progress so far is actually both logical and unique and imo cool. Its not like they couldve released a game where on day 1 we had blades of crota and the house of wolves all randomly spawning. As it is it feels like time is passing in the game. But stuff like this? Theres no reason for this.

It's like your best friend that you've known for all these years had sex with that girlfriend.... then killed your dog. and had sex with it too. Seeing Marty O'donnell made me hum the halo theme in a crackling voice followed by tears.

I am not one to get pissy about stuff like this, but this is garbage. They planned micro's from the moment they cut emotes. There is far too much evidence of cut content for me to buy any more of their crap. Im not going to suggest that Destiny isnt a good game; it is. It just isnt even close to the game it COULD be. And thats the most disappointing part. Thanks for posting this and holding Bungie/Activision accountable.

1 返信They probably had a several emotes throughout the course of development, the dance the Warlock performed isn't in-game at all. Until recently we only had 4 emote slots, and they chose the four we had at launch.

2 通の返信The only nostalgia I feel is the remembrance of how high the potential ceiling of this game was... I've played so much of this game. But I'll be damned if it couldn't have been so, SO incredibly much more than what it is. The potential was there... The execution was poor... I am grateful today for BO3 and Fallout 4, for breaking the strangle hold Destiny had on me and helping me to remember what it is like to actually sit down and HAVE FUN playing a video game... It wasn't until last Friday night when I realized that I had been playing Destiny for months, by default, and just not enjoying it at all. I hadn't had fun with it in a long time, and I've put it down until something major comes along. To those of you that are still playing Destiny and enjoying it... I'm jealous. Enjoy it some for me, as I have lost my ability to do so for the time being.

I wonder if there's even hope for the franchise, if they can change the direction the game is taken for destiny 2? If I worked at bungie I don't know if I would have the passion to after getting shit on by its players for 2 years.
