Players charging for 'guaranteed' Lighthouse runs
Edit: Thanks guys, I get that I spelled guaranteed wrong I've fixed it now...
I know this has been happening from the beginning of trials and I'm SURE it's very lucrative with some people 'charging' upwards of $120 or more to carry total scrubs to the lighthouse (I was watching a stream where I'm surprised the guy being carried could even complete PvE content, he was charging $80 per card and some unknown higher amount if you wanted insurance just in case you had to wipe a card once which would be another $80 without that extra amount up front).
I'm torn on this issue, people have been making money or benefiting from the inadequacies of people that can't do something from the beginning of time. But, this 'service' they are providing kind of seems wrong to me.
What are all of you fine guardian's opinions? Please elude without incriminating yourself if you are someone that gets paid upwards of $800-$1,600 per week (split between the two carrying the nubs). If they only charge $80 and on average a trials run without wipe takes an hour that would be the same as someone making roughly $84,000 if it is an equal split between the two doing the carrying and that is what they did 40 hours a week (Trials lasts for roughly 96 hours; so, if there is a steady flow of individuals that are desperate to go to the light house you could make the bi-weekly wage of an upper-middle income individual in just one trials weekend...)

I dont think theres such thing as a 100% guaranteed lighthouse carry. Youll always run into someone better than you. And if they screw up while carrying you they are gonna charge you again? Be nice if these people were banned for their crazy prices too

Don't care I only play for the bountys and hopefully get 5-7 wins the get the armor and weekly weapons:) If people are willing to pay I say go for it, 150$ is a lot of money and for what an emblem and adept weapons that aren't much different from the regular.

If you need to be carried there are plenty of small (a few big ones I believe) streamers that will do it for free every weekend. I have a friend who has gotten hundreds to it, I've helped on occasion, and hasn't charged anyone a dime. But ultimately, Bungie can't really do anything and neither can we. Just don't support these people by watching them if you don't like it. But at the end of the day I don't care. I just find it dumb people will charge, but even more dumb people are paying.

2 通の返信I've done it myself for the priveledge of playing with the best sniper I have seen by far who constantly clutches, kills 7 guardians as the last guardian just to learn from him I ain't ashamed about that I've been the lighthouse legit but I wanted to also see how I can improve my sniping skills.

I dont think there should be anything wrong with people charging or paying to be carried through. The problem comes from people charging to carry peolle through and cheating them to 9-0. If your good enough to carry someone to 9-0 that is fine and charge whatever people are willing to pay. But if your going to cheat for a gaurenteed 9-0 and charge people for that, i think thays completely wrong and unfortunately that is what most of these people are doing.

1 返信It is wrong and distasteful, but Bungie can't do anything about that. That's outside the realms of the game and it's not their responsibility. And there are plenty of streamers that do it for free so if people choose to pay then that's on them. If you want to stop it then beat them in a match and force them to refund or pay again. Lol.

6 通の返信Why does it bother you? The fact is if someone with more money than sense wants to pay someone with more time than scruples then fine. Thats the way the world works unfortunately. I'm not a big fan of it, but I'm a realist. Let the idiots pay the skilled.
