That's it. The quest is -blam!-ing bullshit.
EDIT: Here's why:
First of all, you can't use The First Curse. Doesn't matter if the gun was unavailable until later because of the time it takes to hit rank 5 because the gun is still Tex Mechanica. There's no excuse for not allowing me to use the only other Tex gun in the game.
Next, you lose 2 -blam!-ing percent for dying, but only gain 1% for kills. That's asinine. Even an above average player would have a difficult time with this. Even with streaks counting for more points, there are so many little things that can slow you down such as lag, Fellwinter's bullshit, lag, supers, heavy ammo, lag, mlg snipers, more supers, lag, more heavy ammo, lag and finally lag. I got all the way to like 52% in one game. Why? Because I got lucky. While I'm definitely a very solid player, it helped that everyone in the match just wasn't that good. The next few games were slower, but I kept building and building without going down. Finally, I was at 82 -blam!-ing percent and suddenly I was just getting into the worst situations and after about 3 games I was almost back at 52% again. That's unacceptable. I shouldn't need to net OVER 2.0 in every game for a large duration of time for this gun. The average person can't even accomplish this without the bullshit methods people have created online or finding friends to boost them.
Lastly, they expect you to do this well with a gun that nerfed in weapon category that they nerfed. The gun was basically doubly nerfed and yet Bungie expects you go above and beyond 360 no scope from behind a wall in multiple games. That's a gargantuan, nigh impossible objective for a LARGE number of players. It's fine to add a difficult objective, but the fact one death can set you back to zero after two kills means that most people would just sit at zero for quite a long time. If you got no good streaks, you'd need more than 2.0 just to get anywhere and trading is just too often the result of gun fights. One for one would be much better. It would keep people who can't maintain more than 1.0 from getting the gun without resorting to dumb shit, but it also wouldn't alienate so much of the player base. So many people haven't done this quest simply because the first part is asking far too much of you and this is coming from somebody who was actually doing pretty well once i found a groove.

FenrisAlphaにより編集済み: 11/9/2015 2:23:38 PMI am not a PvP player, I enjoy iron banner when it's out but otherwise I usually don't play any kind of PvP unless it's in private matched with friends. I'm not exactly great at competitive shooters and thus avoid them. With that said I have The Chaperone. I didn't have my friends boost me nor did I even play with any friends wile doing this part of the quest. This quest is about playing outside of your play style, unless you run and gun and hide with hand cannons. In my opinion the best way to do this step is to play Mayhem and only go out for kills when you have your super. If you don't have your super then hide! Or un-equip TLW. That's it! It will still thane you a ton of matches and you will want to get combos as much as possible as that's how you get high percentage boosts.

I used TLW as my main pre 2.0 so this quest was a blast for me. Got it done in two games with my HB amd btrd. The trick is to play it safe, use. Multikill super (BD, GG, hammer, or storm) wreck with a sniper, use your super on heavy, lay low with a mg and use that for the rest of the match. A 15 streak and 30 total kills got me in the range of 60%

It was like 2% up for last word kills and 2 % down for dying. If you netted over a 1.0 with last word kills you would get it. Tbh not that hard for an exotic. It should actually be really difficult to get a guaranteed exotic and if you don't think so than I guess you believe that bungie just owes you all of the best gear to. If y2 ghally was on the table and all you had to do is get 5 kills how many ppl would have it. Should exotics be on the level of commons and everyone and their great grandmother have it... Ok bud Ps to get it done faster play control and always make sure you are near teammates. If there is any chance you think you can't win a shootout run. This is completely against my play style but when I tried it I went 16 and 4 which put me just over 50%... The key is to always get away if there is any chance you could die... Control for the meat shields and the game focal points

1 返信If you are having a bad game with it, unequipt it, your percentage on the quest won't change if you end the match with a different weapon equipped. It took me like 5 matchs to get to 54 percent, then I got the last 46 percent In one crazy 26 - 5 match.
-
You can check my stats, I'm no where near a good player.. I have somewhat decent games mixed in with straight garbage.. Got to about 13% and left it for weeks.. Last week decided to finish it, and knocked it out in about 15 games or so.. If my team was going to win, saved my super until the end, equipped tlw.. And fire hammer everything I saw! One time it went up by about 20% doing that. Call it a bullshit method, but it worked.

I'm getting mine Wednesday and I'm glad they made it so hard. While doing the quest I was thinking its the stupidest quest ever but now that I'm done I'm glad its not too easy because then everyone would have it. Makes me feel like I'm better at crucible than I am lol

1 返信Don't give up on it. I completed the crucible part last night. Just play smart. Some of the larger maps are not really friendly to getting kill streaks. So just unequip your last word on those maps. The smaller close quarter maps are your best bet. If your not that skilled at getting kill streaks with a shotgun or fusion rifle, there is still hope for you. Equip your last word only when you have your super. Unleash your super and unequip. Rinse and repeat. I got like 68% within an hour by using my super and shotgun. The majority came from using the super method. After heavy spawns, wait before activating your super. Let your opponents unleash the heavy. Then go for your super kills. Don't be afraid to run away and play conservative. Always equip your last word just before the map ends if your going to win. That way you get the 3% credit for the win. If I can do this anyone can. It took me more matches than most, but persistence paid off. Good luck!!!

1 返信Equip, do mayhem, lay low til you have a super, then wreck people, then repeat. Takes no time at all when you do it this way.
-
Just do it when its MAYHEM clash or something. Getting kills with a super while equiping last word is waay better than running around with a shotgun 24/7... Just a tip: Play safe while doing mayhem,be passive and make sure you have your super before you encounter an enemy or two. Took me about 5-10 games with mayhem too complete it(yes I suck in pvp). But I made it atleast ;)

4 通の返信I can't confirm this, but from youtube vids, as I understand it, you only lose the 2% if it's in your hand when you die. It was suggested than when your health is low, switch to your special.
-
3 通の返信Why are people still complaining about this shit? Why do people think they should be able to obtain everything? Why is it that if something is to hard, people think it should bee made easier so they can accomplish it? If you can't do it, accept it and move the -blam!- on and shit the -blam!- up. I'm not even good at crucible and found this a moderate difficulty. And guess what! I assumed I would nut be able to do this, AND ACCEPTED I MIGHT NOT GET THIS GUN! Just so happens, I was wrong. Tldr Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

2 通の返信Just equip the gun and go on a mayhem rumble. You don't need the kills with it, just have it equipped.
