That's it. The quest is -blam!-ing bullshit.
EDIT: Here's why:
First of all, you can't use The First Curse. Doesn't matter if the gun was unavailable until later because of the time it takes to hit rank 5 because the gun is still Tex Mechanica. There's no excuse for not allowing me to use the only other Tex gun in the game.
Next, you lose 2 -blam!-ing percent for dying, but only gain 1% for kills. That's asinine. Even an above average player would have a difficult time with this. Even with streaks counting for more points, there are so many little things that can slow you down such as lag, Fellwinter's bullshit, lag, supers, heavy ammo, lag, mlg snipers, more supers, lag, more heavy ammo, lag and finally lag. I got all the way to like 52% in one game. Why? Because I got lucky. While I'm definitely a very solid player, it helped that everyone in the match just wasn't that good. The next few games were slower, but I kept building and building without going down. Finally, I was at 82 -blam!-ing percent and suddenly I was just getting into the worst situations and after about 3 games I was almost back at 52% again. That's unacceptable. I shouldn't need to net OVER 2.0 in every game for a large duration of time for this gun. The average person can't even accomplish this without the bullshit methods people have created online or finding friends to boost them.
Lastly, they expect you to do this well with a gun that nerfed in weapon category that they nerfed. The gun was basically doubly nerfed and yet Bungie expects you go above and beyond 360 no scope from behind a wall in multiple games. That's a gargantuan, nigh impossible objective for a LARGE number of players. It's fine to add a difficult objective, but the fact one death can set you back to zero after two kills means that most people would just sit at zero for quite a long time. If you got no good streaks, you'd need more than 2.0 just to get anywhere and trading is just too often the result of gun fights. One for one would be much better. It would keep people who can't maintain more than 1.0 from getting the gun without resorting to dumb shit, but it also wouldn't alienate so much of the player base. So many people haven't done this quest simply because the first part is asking far too much of you and this is coming from somebody who was actually doing pretty well once i found a groove.

I only bother with these kind of quests if I'm totally bored out of my mind, which rarely happens with Destiny. There are plenty of good guns to not both with this one plus too many hand cannon nerfs make them dumb to use these days anyways, nobody forcing you to do this quest.

If it was the Thorn, then I would tell you to tolerate it, but that isn't Thorn and there will never be one again, so, I pass. IMO, there is no weapon worthy of any quest except the Exotic sword. Until that is nerf'd, and they will find reason to butcher them in time, I would do that quest line once and did. BTW: I deleted Imprecation and its quest 1 shot from #7 crucible head shots. That's how serious I am about not doing quests for guns weaker than what I already have. I had to do that to convince myself that collections are no longer my priority. It was personal. I had to break the fixation on collecting every exotic so I could finally say NO...

Cr0Wis3により編集済み: 11/9/2015 4:14:38 PMI suck at pep but I did it by playing the match with the weapons I'm used to (kinda smashed in the process) and if your team is looking at an imminent victory equip the last word and hide somewhere. With every match win you get 3%, it's a bit of a grind but a steady progression. Done this on and off and finished in a day waiting to get it tomorrow.

2 通の返信Well do like i did with my friends and fuk bungie in they eye like they did to use, make 6 player chat on ps, make 2x 3 player teams and go press skirmish sametime with that other team, let 1 person on team kill 2 persons on opponent team making douple kill everytime and the other teams do the same, when 2players get that part of the quest done switch that other 2 makes the kills next. It took only 1 game and we all 6 players got that part done realy easy :)

2 通の返信Mate I agree that it is very difficult, but there is hope. I'm by no means a PvP player but I did manage to complete the initial part. How I did it is load up a game of inferno rumble and wait till the other guardians run by then shoot them in the back. I know, I know cheap tactic but it worked for me. Oh and it did help I had stormcaller on so I got a few multi kills with that. Good luck mate.

So I am an average player hovering around 1.0 K/D, but after trying different things, I finished this no problem. Play the classic 6v6 playlist and don't rush. Something that can also help is to not equip TLW right off the bat. Play for a few minutes to get a feel for the other team (to see if they are great, average, or suck). You can also not equip it until you get your super and heavy ammo. You don't have to use just TLW, you just have to have it equipped. Don't give up! The challenges are what make this game great. IF this helped and you need advice on the next part, message me. I got the next part done in under an hour.

That's a really long winded way of saying you can't do it. As someone with barely above a 1.0 KDR who has The Chaperone I can only suggest that you study up, practice with the gun, pick the right format, or sandbag the matchmaking by going in with a fireteam made up of scrubs. Seriously, it is a legit challenge. Jolly Holiday is one of the few quests in Destiny right now that isn't accomplished by just showing up enough. That kind of thing shouldn't be scrapped because the incapable want The Chaperone but don't want to do the gymnastics for it.
