That's it. The quest is -blam!-ing bullshit.
EDIT: Here's why:
First of all, you can't use The First Curse. Doesn't matter if the gun was unavailable until later because of the time it takes to hit rank 5 because the gun is still Tex Mechanica. There's no excuse for not allowing me to use the only other Tex gun in the game.
Next, you lose 2 -blam!-ing percent for dying, but only gain 1% for kills. That's asinine. Even an above average player would have a difficult time with this. Even with streaks counting for more points, there are so many little things that can slow you down such as lag, Fellwinter's bullshit, lag, supers, heavy ammo, lag, mlg snipers, more supers, lag, more heavy ammo, lag and finally lag. I got all the way to like 52% in one game. Why? Because I got lucky. While I'm definitely a very solid player, it helped that everyone in the match just wasn't that good. The next few games were slower, but I kept building and building without going down. Finally, I was at 82 -blam!-ing percent and suddenly I was just getting into the worst situations and after about 3 games I was almost back at 52% again. That's unacceptable. I shouldn't need to net OVER 2.0 in every game for a large duration of time for this gun. The average person can't even accomplish this without the bullshit methods people have created online or finding friends to boost them.
Lastly, they expect you to do this well with a gun that nerfed in weapon category that they nerfed. The gun was basically doubly nerfed and yet Bungie expects you go above and beyond 360 no scope from behind a wall in multiple games. That's a gargantuan, nigh impossible objective for a LARGE number of players. It's fine to add a difficult objective, but the fact one death can set you back to zero after two kills means that most people would just sit at zero for quite a long time. If you got no good streaks, you'd need more than 2.0 just to get anywhere and trading is just too often the result of gun fights. One for one would be much better. It would keep people who can't maintain more than 1.0 from getting the gun without resorting to dumb shit, but it also wouldn't alienate so much of the player base. So many people haven't done this quest simply because the first part is asking far too much of you and this is coming from somebody who was actually doing pretty well once i found a groove.

3 通の返信You don't have to kill with tlw. Just have equipped as primary. Supers, heavy, and secondary kills count.

3 通の返信Thank you for making this, hopefully bungie reads this and realizes how much horse shit this quest is. I haven't used the last word in some time so I suck with it

Edit from OP here: I finished. I got my 100%. This quest is still bullshit, but I did the shit I was angry about. Btw, I didn't edit the main post because you can't edit a post already edited by an admin or a moderator.

Uhtred Brayにより編集済み: 11/9/2015 11:45:20 PMDude I felt the same way I raged for a whole week not being able to do it cuz I'm average at pvp. Then today out of nowhere the crucible gods blessed me. I was able to make the stability on that bitch way better with the last 2 perks. All it took was 2 games On top of the 23 percent that I had accumulated from the past week. One game I went 19 and 7 which brought my percentage up to 98 percent and the next game 15 and 2 or someshit like that helped me finish it. I raged for a whole week and then ended up finishing it in 20 min today. -blam!-ing destiny lol.

I don't know about the percentages.... I got through that bit in about 7 games and my kdr is not good. The next bit with the shotgun took a little while too. Tried doing it by killing ultras but 3 ultra = 1% or something like that so was going to take waaaaay too long. Went to crucible and just push my way through it

2 通の返信I was getting annoyed with this as well. I started by playing control thinking I could hover around control points and pick off stragglers but with only 8 rounds in the magazine and everyone using pulse rifles it ended up trading most of the time. Then I found the secret, rumble. Most fights are 1 v 1 and as long as you pick the engagement range you should win. I went from 46% to done in 1 match of rumble with a score of 23-1. Got some hate mail too from some salty try hard, but I was like idgaf im done with jolly holiday haha. TLDR Rumble is the answer.

You have a shotgun and TLW. That means your loadout is for CQ. Try hiding and dont go into open areas(you can get sniped or just simply get killed by a pulse rifle). Also if you are low on health just run. Try to use your surroundings for your advantage. Play your games smart and you should get it done in no time.
