I think I just need to vent, so here it goes. I just played a game of salvage, and two of the guys on the other team were the best snipers I've ever seen. Every time I saw that red glint, before I could even react, I was already dead. It was seriously as if they were using an aim bot. Even if I'm shooting them, it's like they experience no flinch at all. I'm a down right rotten sniper, but it still blows my mind how ridiculously good some people are.
Edit: Wow, this is still up? Like I said, I only posted this to vent.

With map knowledge, you can not only predict where your enemy will come from, but you also know exactly where to aim ur sniper. -Movement I can't emphasize this one enough. If you are in a 1 on 1 sniping battle. Don't keep popping ur head out from the same -blam!-ing corner! Any good sniper will be hardscoped on ur ass waiting for u to pop back from the same exact spot. Move around, change your angle. -Reticle placement: This ties back into point #1, but Reticle placement is key for hardscoping. This is especially useful in trials. You need to learn where the enemies head is going to be when he comes around choke points. Easy kill. Once you get the basics down drag scopes, and quick scopes will come with practice.

1 返信Gotta love the aim assist/accuracy haters. You realize everyone is on a level playing field when it comes to sniping. If its so easy why arent you quickscoping everyone in pvp, instead of crying on the forums?

Best way to get good like that is to use something like nlb, or a sniper with a low aim assist or stability and practice with them. After a few games your aim will get better, and then you can land head shots with a high aim assist sniper with ease

TwilightCitizenにより編集済み: 11/9/2015 7:50:44 AMI just recently started sniping because it's the only way I've found to keep a positive KD ratio EDIT: while attempting Shindig in the Crucible. I haven't notice any aim assist that other posters are mentioning. Rather, like other posters have mentioned, it's all about anticipating where your enemy will be, and obviously having a good long distance line of site to it. I'm a noob at it, so I struggle with some maps more than others. The Pantheon is like a beginner sniper's wet dream. Bannerfall is almost as good, and Frontier is also good. Other maps like Palace of Dusk and Black Shield force me to work harder for a good sniping lane.

4 通の返信People who say AA dont realy know its mainly on the body and vary little in the crit shot or the head, but it realy is just like halo, when you have to shoot shoot for the head and if they are in the air aim for the groin and when thy fall the bullet lands for the head, its a learned skill that you can cary accross games but not COD because it takes no skill on that realy

16 通の返信It takes no skill to snipe in this game, don't you know that? Naturally there are things we're naturally good at and things we aren't. Those snipers aren't skilled. Rather, they're just plain good at it. Of course skill can sometimes make up for that natural gap, but sniping in Destiny is all about reaction time and not about skill. Now if you want snipers with real skill, play Battlefield 3. BF4 is a little iffy, though still good about it, and BF:HL is just not a sniper game at all.

11 通の返信GigaModeにより編集済み: 11/7/2015 8:11:14 PMSniper rifles should be heavy weapons. It's just that simple. They can and usually do provide unassisted one-shot kills, and can be used from maximum range. If someone can name another primary/secondary in the game that also has both of those things in common, then you can tell me that sniper rifles are balanced. Not to be 'The Halo Guy' because I have my gripes with that game as well, but in Halo it's a timed power weapon that you can't just spawn with 24/7, much like heavy ammo in Destiny. This has always puzzled me as to why it isn't the same in both games, since Bungie created Halo. Edit: Look guys, I get it. Sniper rifles take some skill to use. Guess what, so do several other weapon types in the game. Using a weapon skillfully isn't a unique activity exclusive to sniper rifles. My gripe is with people who have gotten so good with them, that they have learned to push the envelope with them and use them more efficiently than any other weapon type (including heavy weapons), given their capability of one-shotting from such far range that there's no counterplay options available other than to use a sniper rifle yourself (unhealthy weapon balance).

2 通の返信wow aim assist is in every game and everyone is using it...makes no sense to just say sniping is easy it's aim assist that sentence literally doesn't make sense ypu are playing another human

6 通の返信I use the eirene with luck in the chamber. (only for a chance to kill sunbreaker titans with one head shot) The aim assist in this one isn't really high at all. I've shot people in the head and it still doesn't touch em. Idk if it's cause the scopes reticle is poorly designed or lag. But 1000 yard stare on the other hand... Makes me wanna throw my Xbox out the window. I hate that sniper and everyone that uses it. I've lost so many battles to that thing. My one friend that had always ran shotguns uses it and he surprises himself when he gets someone in the dome. I don't think anyone has room to talk about power weapons if you had thorn or last word equipped in year 1. I'm just glad that's over with. No more running away with green smog coming off me.

11 通の返信I'd hate for the game to be a cut and paste of halo but timed drops for special would be the shit. Maybe just make the drops every minute and once you die, you lose it. PVP would just be all primaries & it would be glorious. I don't know why Bungie decided to make shotguns and snipers special weapons. I wish they would have introduced sidearms from the beginning and those would be the sole secondary. There would be way less snipers and they'd be used properly if they got moved to primary. Same with shotguns. You don't see either weapon very much in other games because they take the spot of a primary.
