I'm okay in Crucible. I'm awful in Trials. Okay, I didn't have more than a couple of matches where I wasn't the highest k/d on my team this time, but I lost far more than i won. My Hunter went 0 for 10, a new low even for me. If I was in a team with a good strategist who could tell me where to go, we could win. If not, I'd die, alone, surrounded by their entire team.
Crucible is not preparation for Trials.
Yet Bungie INSISTS that ToO is designed for teamwork and skill...
" I have a 2.0 kd on my newest character and I've been practising sniping just for ToO"
Yeah I don't think so ..lol "Trials of Sissy Spawn Camping Snipers" was probably just too long a name...lol
I don't seem to have problems with regular crucible matches.. am I ladder competition good... hardly.. but I do half way decent usually.. admittedly 3 vs 3 is not my strongest game type . But everything about ToO from the game play.. to the maps.. to the over rated achievements. There is one tiny demographic that this mode appeals to, and Skill and teamwork is not really the diagnosis I would hand out for them.
Yea it is lol, your problem is that you need to find a team at your level.
But you make a good side point that half the challange of trials is getting a good team that fit your play style and that you mesh well with
Ya i had the same issue year 1,
its the anxiety, seriously. play enough ToO and your nerves will get better and you'll relax.
heres the break down,
"SKILL" is muscle memory (aka accuracy and snap reflex reaction) combined with intelligence about the map or game type, use these together to exploit weaknesses in the enemy or the map, doing this correctly will 100% get wins.
Except lag and switchers reck that logic.. lol
other then that you can gain those "skills" in crucible. with some practice they can be applied to ToO.
