Dose using a sniper require skill or not? Was curious b.c i just read that using a sniper requires no skill.
Also would like to hear the experiences of former players whom mained/used shotguns but then switched to snipers.
Let the poll speak for itself, we shall get the final answer from the players!
Also state why you think it is skilless.
1000ys-
it is in the same archtype as LDR, Y-Longbow, and HerBenvo. Aim assist is not as high as other snipers as meny guardians have mentiond below. So is it you that cant counter snipe, and the just blam it on the "1000ys's high aim assist? When apparently thats not the case?
Who here can own up to it? If you suck at sniping then just admit that you need practice. If your okay, then say your still learning. If your a good sniper just admit that the other guy got you b.c he was better, no? What's so hard about admitting the truth?
Im medicore at best. I am still learning. Back in TDB i was using my e-spear and played with all the snipers avaliable trying to learn how eavh type felt. Today im uaing the rr4 w/o litc and it's a hard sniper to get the feel for imo.

7 通の返信I think there can be a lot of skill use in snipers however no one should be able to quick scope a head shot with a sniper. It's a broken mechanic and not the way the weapon is suppose to work. Sorry. It's a high damage output gun that has range without repercussions. It's a bad mechanism. Anyone that uses a sniper 15 feet from a hand cannon/primary or shotgun should lose. Being able to back peddle and one shot is lame.

3 通の返信I'd like to think I'm a good sniper, and if I'm ever in a sniper battle and lose, I'll admit that the other guy was just a little better than me, and won't get mad. What I will get mad about is someone using the Eirene RR4 and body shot spamming because they don't know what the head of a guardian looks like.

there are no skills in any gun that is not the same in every way in stats and perk. if everyone gets the same gun then we can measure skill. but there are too much variations and gear to say one person is more skilled sniper than another.

4 通の返信Sniping takes skill unless you are using a luck in the chamber sniper, then you are cheaper than a shotgunner

1 返信If you use a Spear to snipe your skilled (NO FINAL ROUND OR LUCK IN THE CHAMBER)
nubs
Oh I remember the days when shadow of veils was useful. I was a monster with that beast of a sniper. I've been loving the stillpiercer, which unfortunately is hunter exclusive, but the 1000yard state is a great sniper as well. Lots of hate on it though, which I understand as it practically runs the crucible right now along with pulse rifles

Yes, more people are sniping because it easier now than earlier. No, this does not make them no-skill weapons. A long term sniper will wreck some kid who just picked up a 1000 yard stare. People who pick up sniping today don't watch the blindspots, camp, don't balance ammo consumption, miss frequently and hilariously and don't understand the importance of a body shot hit and run. It takes skill. And if you die to snipers a lot, you are either doing the same predictable action over and over, or you are fighting a talented sniper.

1 返信Snipers this year are catered to shitty players You expect anyone to believe 90% of the community got good with snipers?

2 通の返信Honestly most of the snipers in crucible aren't really that good if you have a background in sniping then Destiny sniping is easy. I used to snipe a lot in Halo and Gears so Destiny is like really easy cause of the aim assist
