End the Weapons Parts Famine
Dear Bungie, please fix your drop rates for weapons engrams, or make armor materials exchangeable for weapons parts. The struggle is truly real. Other options could include making weapons parts available for purchase from The Gunsmith or Vanguard Quartermaster for glimmer/motes/ marks. My infusion of weapons has been entirely hamstrung by this one shortage. In the past there have been a few ways around this, such as going flawless in Trials of Osiris and then spamming weapon purchases from Vance for 500 glimmer per weapon and then dismantling them. Farming glimmer, lather, rinse, repeat. That option is also gone in year two. Please consider this issue and concoct a work around. Thanks for listening, your loyal subject and slave, totalnah.
*******UPDATE******** According to the most recent weekly update, Banshee will now be selling weapons parts in the tower for glimmer. This will take effect with the November update. Rejoice guardians, and thank you to those of you who had thoughtful feedback and suggestions. You all were part of the effort to make this possible.

1 返信Yes please bungie make weapon parts and armor material available for purchase. For players that have 2000 plus hours its no big deal. I have plenty on my xbox, but i just recently restarted on my ps4 and newcomers are having a really hard time getting enough weapon part to really play around and utilize there weapons. You do want new players to have an easy time junping into the game right bungie?

I've been playing since day one. Because of this I had more weapons and armor parts than I needed. Once I had the gear I wanted the other stuff got dismantled for the glimmer and the surplus wound up in inventory. Here's the problem- Bungie took a look at what we have in our inventory. They saw that a good number of us had over 700 weapons parts. Armor tends to drop more for me. Since I was grinding for weapons the excess armor got dismantled. I have hundreds of those as well. It's a failed attempt at re-distribution. I still have more than I need yet there are those who have to grind for hours because they never have enough. They should have left it alone.

25 通の返信Or just learn to collect the parts. Do some low level strike playlists to collect engrams and dismantle them. It's not rocket science.

2 通の返信Yea the nerf only punishes you for trying out new weapons I wasted 15 parts and 18 motes on a spare change that should be a great gun based on the stats but the recoil sometimes goes straight up and sometimes straight to the left. no bullshit, you can draw a perfect horizonical line through all 3 bullet holes. I'm sick of these guns needing counterbalance just to be usable

4 通の返信Yea I liked how it was before they nerfed them. I got and used weapon parts, motes and strange coins equally as fast now I feel that I have to hoard them all and when I do use them I feel burnt later on.

Im a year 1 player and i currently have 20 weapon parts.. lol... There has to be a new way to get them, this is ridiculous i tried farming and it was a play, every drop ive gotten was armor ! Let us buy them with glimmer or atleast marks

6 通の返信When you look at the cost of infusing, it's quite extreme - first you must sacrifice a weapon with higher light, and then you pay glimmer, weapons parts, a mote of light, and legendary marks - and to add insult to injury - you won't get the full Light level for the gun you're dismantling - it's like this weird average system that I'm still pretty unclear about - this same system applies for armor as well - I say we just drop the weapons parts and armor parts - that would solve a whole lot of hassle....for those folks who've gathered thousands of parts/armor bits - there's already a system in place to trade that in for rep... Also, where's the system that'll allow me to trade in my spinmetal or wormspore - I delete piles of that sh*t and get nothing for it...
