I'm just wondering what you all think about needing a mic to complete the raid, I have beaten every raid I've done without a mic and we did fine, I have 2 characters that are 300+ light, but I'm starting to get sick of being kicked almost instantly because I don't have a mic, you're not going to fail the raid over and over and over again just because 1 or 2 people don't have a mic, just make sure they can hear you and they know what they're doing and you're set
i apologize for the little rant I want on there.
Can you complete a Raid without a mic? YES! Now if you ask me personally would I run a Raid with someone without a mic, my answer is no. Is not that I want to be a douche or elitist. Is just the fact that I love to talk and communicate with others. The experience is so much more enjoyable. In my opinion I say yes you do need a mic for the only reason that I love communication between others when playing an online multiplayer game. The experience is rich and fun.

That's fine. We had this annoying person last night and I just tuned out and started listening to music, buddies knew what to do and I told them I'll follow you're lead, cover left. Did that whole raid listing to music & podcasts it was nice

I would say in 99 percent of the time the answer is yes. Unless you are playing with a solid team that has run the raid previously with you. Even if you have run it already, everyone does things slightly different and that could throw off timing. Timing is about the most important thing in KF so just that little detail could make or break the run. I wouldn't necesaarily kick someone for not having one but it makes things much more difficult besides it's how you make new friends ;)

The current one, absolutely. Past ones not so much. With all the moving parts in KF unless you're playing with people who you've already cleared it with 50 times you need to be able to vocally communicate things. You're not always going to have a clear field of vision and things aren't always going to go perfectly so you have to be able to communicate. That's not to say that having a mic makes you incapable, but in my experience it causes a lot of issues.

It helps, but why don't you just use one? I use the one that came with my ps4, its a cheap earbud that plugs into my controller, it works fine. One of the big reasons I raid with people is so we can chat and laugh, it's a social thing.

chillにより編集済み: 10/22/2015 5:23:45 PMNope. Went micless with VOG back in the day and killed it. Recently my X1 mic broke and im still good. As long as you know what to do you're fine. You mainly just need to signal yes or no, and you could wave for yes and use an emote for no.

1 返信People who say you need a mic just need to be carried I understand some people are mute, deaf, or simply have super bad anxiety. As long as you know what to do or willing to learn, I'll keep you on my team. I honestly hate people that kick for such a stupid opinionated reason.

You only need a mic if you expect me to understand what you're trying to communicate, especially if you're trying to communicate in a rapidly-evolving situation like a raid. If everyone knows what they have to do ahead of time, or if the mission is so old that everyone can do it in their sleep, then no, you probably don't need one.

The more I think about this, the more I'm beginning to think that a lot of people believe you can't hear if you say you don't have a mic. Several people have made a very good point. I have a mic, but it's muted most of the time, because I don't have anything to say. However, I can hear everything that is said by someone else. As long as everyone can hear, everyone doesn't have to be talking. I will say, if you're new to the raid and think you might have questions, you should have a mic.
