so we can't raid anymore
i understand every mechanic in the raid
yet i can't seem to find a team that is willing to go with a first timer
i got one friend with the same issue
we both used to be sherpas in year 1
and now we are called scrubs
because no touch of malice or emblem
how the f*** am i going to get those ?

edit final: actually lying worked
after we killed oryx
i said i was a first timer
all of them were shocked
now i have everything
i can Sherpa again

Theres a thread on the recruitment section for raids with teams with no exp required. Just check it out. The tide is gradually and slowly turning to more open recruitment. Once hard/heroic appears it'll open even more, as the mlg's will only do that. Its been the same every raid so far. I've not finished it yet but have got as far as sisters. Im taking it easy to learn each step well to get exp.

A lot of people don't have the patience to help out people because they're on a tight time schedule. But they're are a lot of people willing to help first timers because they know the struggle. As long as you can listen and learn you will have no trouble finding a group to help you out on here. Somethings I've noticed on destiny is that people don't like to hear things that aren't related to the task at hand and if you talk to much it may be a problem to another player. It's a feeling out process most of the time you're going to find groups with different types of people. It sucks sometimes but if you feel like it's not working out, don't be afraid to leave a group to find another one. Sometimes if the vibe isn't right I will already know that a group isn't going to be able to work together. What I mean by this is if someone is being a boss instead of a leader. A boss tells you what to do with negative feedback, a leader will show you what to do and help guide you along the way with positive feedback. Anyways sorry for such a long post but I hope you get this raid done soon. Good luck !!!

2 通の返信Whenever you post, make sure you say you know how to do it, but haven't before. That's what I did and people invited me. Also ask for a relaxed group. It may take a bit but keep trying. There are good people out there still.

1 返信I'm not calling you out, I'm not, as I actually don't mind taking forst timers in the slightest. The way I see it, no habits, are better than bad habits. However, with all of these "no one will raid with me" posts, you'd think by now all of you would have gotten together and raided lol.

Instead of joining people start your own raid.. If you understand the mechanics then you should be able to lead a raid of your own, Get you, your friend & 4 other 1st timers and go at it, I recently ran the raid with 3 people who claimed they have done it and know how it works... 4/5 hours later after admitting they didn't know what they were doing we got it.

I was lucky and got in with one other new player who said he didn't know anything right off the bat. I new most mechanics from YouTube but just listened in for anything I might have missed. They probably didn't even know it was my first time. But, I can platform and the other newbie couldn't.

1 返信Basically if you don't have those items you just have to buckle down and do the raid with guys who are around 290-299. It'll be a little harder but doable because all the high level guys had to do that at one time too. Get a couple drops and maybe get lucky on some exotic farming and you'll be GTG.

I can't talk to people I don't know online because I'm only 12 so no one would raid with me even though I know what to do on every part of any raid. Before you yell about how I am only 290 light, I am talking about on Crotas end and that kind of stuff

8 通の返信start your own fire team "LFM for oryx full run, no experience necessary" you will get plenty of message and be off and running in the raid in no time. Since you are leader you don't have to worry about getting kicked and you can control what your team looks like.

1 返信Act like an elitist snob ... if you know what you're doing. Just act like you've completed it. No one will know the difference if you don't play like crap. Seriously if you are good they won't know until you get the emblem and quest drop.

Before I killed Oryx for the first time, I just watched a few YouTube videos on how to do it. I found a group and I told them I haven't beaten him before and that I only watched some videos on it, and they said "Eh, close enough." We killed Oryx in about 4 attempts.

3 通の返信I agree it's so frustrating. My goodness. I helped so many people through last years raids, this year my buddies have all taken off to play other games - so I need to LFG more than ever. And of course, no one wants to raid with someone who hasn't yet completed it. Pisses me right off. Mind you, last night at the Daughters, everyone who "had raid experience" struggled to complete the torn between dimension jumping puzzle, I did it no problem. I honestly am beginning to resent the LFG community and Bungie for not having in game LFG tools because it leads to this dogshit.
