I dont have it (yet), but it seems people weren't that all impressed with this somewhat hyped up weapon.

Nkariiにより編集済み: 10/21/2015 6:41:33 AMIt's disliked because players and gaming outlets proclaimed it as the heir apparent to Gjallarhorn. They proclaimed it as THE go to heavy weapon. That's not what the SS is. The SS has a niche role and it fills that role extremely well. It's an anti personnel machine. It's a high damage precision weapon that WRECKS majors and ultras. Hit your crit shots, and the damage this thing does is unreal. No it's not Gjallahorn 2.0 You actually have aim with it, but if you use it in its intended role, it's a beast. I personally love it.

Don't listen to the people who hate it, it's freakin awesome, it's made for bosses where you need high damage fast I.e. Shade of oryx, darkblade and the Daughters when they cover their faces when they are tethered.

I can get 6 critical shots off with my black spindal that cause the same if not more damage in the time it takes the sleeper to get 3 shots for that reason I don't use it. As far as dps goes it's really not that great .

Its a singular target weapon. That hits for 34k as a crit for any non-major and 19k for bosses and majors, as well as ultras. The people who hate it are really just the ones that always use rockets... Scrubs

1 返信It melts yellow bars quicker than gjallahorn did if you use it properly, just don't miss crit shots.

The problem isn't with sleeper, the problem is with gjallahorn. It was meant to be a boss killing rocket launcher but became waaaaay to useful to easily dispatch every other PvE enemy. This is bungies response to make things right. Sleeper is how they imagined gally, a situational weapon. Let's face it,sleeper is shit on normal targets but a beast on high level bosses.

It's a good weapon for a quest that I finished in 1 morning. Given the ease of acquisition, I'm happy with it. And it does respectable damage. I'm even going to have a second one at the 290 drop, because I somehow picked up a spare transceiver that morning when my friend needed help running the mission. I wasn't expecting it, but I got a duplicate quest item when I ran it with him.

DullahansXMarkにより編集済み: 10/13/2015 5:07:35 AMI do find it fairly underwhelming, all things considered, but it's a good heavy weapon and a good exotic weapon. Could be better, could be much worse. Above all, I'm just happy it didn't actually turn out to be Gjallarhorn 2.0 like it was hyped up to be. Gjallarhorn NEEDS to be a thing of the past. It's great to finally actually have loadout diversity without gimping yourself (and if you try to tell me that not taking Gjallarhorn in your loadout pre-TTK wasn't gimping your damage output I'm just going to laugh at you). Raze-Lighter has by and far the highest damage output in this game and yet the risk required to get that damage isn't worth it for many people, so they opt for something else. It's great! I love it!

The community hyped the weapon and drew their own conclusions based purely on their own conjecture. It's the same thing that always happens lol... That being said, my main man Zinger Tower loves it and I'm inclined to believe a rational, well educated adult over the average piss stained, padded helmet wearing forum goer. Should have mine tonight.

Not me. I did not buy into the hype. I knew Bungie would not make another SUPER OP gun again. SS is just fine. You guys wanna go back to the days of people getting kicked because they didn't have THE gun. You wanna read post like 1000 hours and no gally? If you bought into the hype, blame yourself.
