Let me start by saying Raids are not my thing, I've played the last 2 but something about them is just not fun for me, at least compared to the time I'm willing to give this game. I get invited to a Raid Saturday from a person on my friend list that I dont know in real life but have played a few games with before, he's good at destiny. I join the raid and instantly see the signs I've seen before that arnt good, as in a bunch of the original group leaving and alot of new blood joining, mind you I'm only 296 light with my best gear on. Lucky enough to have a guy who knows what he's talking about explaining, he was rushing it but covered the basics. So 6th person join, and its clear nobody was listening to the guy, it did take about 3 wipes before I fully understood but then I had it, I was also not doing anything super important each time luckily. There were 2 other people around my level and the rest around 292, except one guy that was like 286, but got booted after 4th wipe. Why was I the only 1 on a team of 6 that could consistently take out ogres and not die instantly? I don't even have great weapons like some of these people had. I tried to stick around, I was there for about 45 minutes (waiting for my friend I mostly play with to finish eating) before I had to bail. The one guy was running an ad on one of the LFG sites, but it was consistently people who just wouldn't listen to him. I felt really bad for the guy, he was legit trying to do the raid, trying to teach people and they were just like nope, I will run around and shoot until I die and that is all. People, this raid is tough if you do not understand it. Your not going to be an invincible all powerful god like you are in a regular strike. If you are mad at people not wanting to play with inexperienced players, watch a bunch of youtube video guides on how to complete the raid prior to trying. Me,, I wont being trying again anytime soon,.
