I'll keep my opinion at a minumum and stay with the facts.
Fascism: A radical form of authoritarian nationalism, often with elements of sexism, racism and religious extremism.
That's a basic definition of it. Now let's see what Fascists often stand for...
1. Manipulation and control of elections
2. Protection of corporate power'
3. Lack of separation of church and state
4. Obsession with crime and punishment. Explicit support for the death penalty
5. Supremacy of the military
6. Ultra-nationalism
7. Explicit sexism, racism, antisemitism, islamaphobia, homophobia etc.
Let's compare that to what many Republican politicians support...
1. Extreme nationalism and love in one's country
2. Indoctrination of fundamentalist Christianity into public and private life
3. Explicit social conservatism and rejection in modern scientific principals
4. Explicit opposition to immigration
5. An extremely large, costly and towering military
6. Protection of the large corporations and wealthy elite from taxes and punishment
Bonus: The Bush v Gore elections in 2000 were rigged in Florida in favor of Bush which is relevant to electoral manipulation and/or corruption
Don't these seem familiar?
DISCLAIMER: I'm not saying Republicans or conservatives are fascists, but what I am pointing out however, are the aspects of it in the modern G.O.P due to extremist candidates like Donald Trump, Rick Santorm, Mike Huckabee, Dr. Ben Carson and many others. People need to understand that the most popular and openly Right-wing candidates are positioned to the far-right on international terms where radical right parties like the British National Party, Front National of France, Party for Freedom of the Netherlands and Freedom Party of Austria are positioned around the same area of the spectrum where many modern Republicans sit at. Think about who you vote for, think about the principles they stand for. Are they a possible threat to freedom and democracy?

I find it interesting you bring up the 2000 elections being rigged but make no mention to the fact that over 2 million dead guys "voted" for our current POTUS.

The real issue we face today is polarization of politics. It's. No longer about solving problems using our different perspectives and ideas, its about who's more right. This is the number 1 reason the country is going to shit. When we no longer have leaders willing to work together towards a solution by compromising, and communicating with each other, nothing gets done except behind closed doors. And what happens behind those doors is rarely good for anyone but a select few people.

Tiber of Astoraにより編集済み: 10/3/2015 8:02:39 PMEdit: Liberals have been calling Republicans Nàzis and racists for the past few decades. It's gotten you no where. It seems you're only able to criticize rather than contribute.

Republican/Democrat both sides driven by greed, and equally for sale. Don't kid yourself by thinking either party has the people's best interests at heart. One politician leaves office then gets a job with a global corporation lobbying. They both do it. Some more blatant than others. It's about lining their pockets.

SGT Pogie Baitにより編集済み: 10/4/2015 12:36:25 PMI don't have time to debate each and every point, but what jumped out was: 2. It's "freedom of religion" not "from". You can be any or none, your choice. Republicans don't like it when some attempt to remove ALL Christian references. We can't even say "Merry Christmas" without offending someone. 3. Social/scientific...you mean like gay marriage, drug use, etc? So I have to give up or condone activity that I think is immoral to make others satisfied? Just change the law to make former illegal/immoral activity ok? I have to change my beliefs to make a few feel better? 4. Republicans are against ILLEGAL immigration. Can't you get that straight? 6. Voting? I sure would like to know that those people voting were eligible to vote because a few votes could effect the outcome of an election. Goggle "voter fraud". It DOES happen. Something as easy as a picture ID requirement does not prevent one from voting. If one can get to a voting booth, why can't one get their but down to the local DMV and get a free ID? BONUS: those counties in Florida having the most problems with the Bush/Gore election had DEMOCRATIC election committees in charge or designing and implementing the voting process. After several recounts with Bush still winning, a mostly DEMOCRATIC appointed State Supreme Court convened and was about to change the rules. The US federal Supreme Court stepped in stopping it, stating that the rules that were started with, had to continue. Thus, Bush won.

Technically yes conservatives are closer to facism than dems. And even though they consider themselves patriots , they aren't. Patriots (although relates to love of the fatherland) was a phrased used for people who are those that go against the norm (aka progressive not conservative ) Revolutionaries of any revolution (not just American) were patriots. So in another day and age the rioters (like feeguesson) people are more patriot than the oath keepers

Do the same thing with democrats. Then you'll eventually see Republicans and Democrats are just masks that lead to the same result.

Yes. And posting on b.net will make a difference. Congratulations op, you have accomplished nothing but starting internet arguments. You have done the world a great service. Bravo.

They're trying to rig elections now. http://www.rawstory.com/2015/10/alabama-to-stop-issuing-drivers-licenses-in-counties-with-75-black-registered-voters/

I suppose we could say the same about UK Labour, Aussie Labor, Syriza and Sinn Fein being akin to communism too then, seeing how they all sit along the same ideological wing as each other. Making sweeping generalisations is an idiotic thing to do. Comparing a group of people to a radical ideology of evil is a despicable and disdainful thing to do.

I believe it started or at least changed for the worse when they let the Tea Party start calling the shots. They have too much of a voice in the Republican Party and have swayed them further right with zero attempt at compromise.
I have an idea for a new exotic weapon in destiny, it will be the new gjallerhorn but more balanced, I think I would be awesome if its a slow fire rate lmg. But it does dot damage when you land s certain amount of crits. And if the fire rate if low enough it can be every 2 or 3 crits. To balance it just give it strong recoil. An give it firefly that causes dot. Or maybe let the dot stack so that it could be used for ultras. It can only stack if there are multiple people with the Same gun. That would be so cool. So people can still ask for certain weapons when making a fire team/raid team. Make it really hard to get and give it recoil....and think how insane it would be I you had a lot with firefly. Their one destroyer and the teir 2 and 3s are getting damaged from their explosion. Then you have 6 time burn damage and low fire rate lmgs. I'm talking really low fire rate like the green lmg that has focus fire lol. I got it once then deleted it. So it will balance out buy how long you must expose yourself to use an lmg vs a ticket launcher. I'm done
