I agree it can be addictive. One of the reasons I believe people play a lot is they are trying to keep up with the rest of the destiny population in terms of level and gear. If you can stop trying to keep up you'll realise you don't have to play for so long each sitting and it's easier to put the controller down. I have a lot of friends who have more time than me and I can't play the higher level stuff with them but I know eventually I'll get there, whilst they would have burned out.
