Played as 3 warlocks for a while And your right, you hold on to your rez to the death lol Meanwhile no orbs are being generated and play is much much harder and guess what, you all die! WARLOCK TO THE RESCUE!! So I go back to 3 characters (which I had b4) And orbs galore with the other characters, which feeds others to super, which feeds you Simple

As far as making contributions to the team effort, Warlocks are indeed quite limited. I would argue the benefits of self-rez, as mistakes will happen from time to time, no matter how good you are. Having that extra life can be extremely beneficial in insuring your personal hand on the fight. Another underrated use of sunsinger is the radiance perk that increases ability cool down for allies, which can be fairly handy in situations where there is a need for melee/grenade use. I would also argue Stormcaller, and Voidwalker are very useful in clearing mobs of low-level enemies (thrall mobs, Fallen packs, Vex... Whatever it's called when they get into a large group). So there are ways that Warlocks can contribute, though they are often overshadowed by abilities of other classes.

I'd like to see how many titans and hunters posting here have actually beaten the raid AND killed Oryx in the process.... I have all three classes. And all 3 classes have their uses is the this raid no doubt. I have completed the entire raid on my warlock switching between stormtrance and sunsinger.

Recon SR2により編集済み: 9/22/2015 10:41:27 PMWhile DPS is certainly a factor, making some Titan and Hunter Classes ideal (Nightstalker and Defender, especially) Warlocks can be very useful, especially if specced for Crowd Control. I was the Main Add clearer for Golgoroth (after the Taken Spawn) and The Deathsinger Sisters. Other guys were free to shoot while I cleared every Taken enemy in a 50 foot radius with Stormtrance, generating orbs for our Nightstalkers and Defenders. I was also told by my teammates that a "random agility buff" helped quite a few of them out of some sticky situations. Wonder who that could have been? Ran out of time before we could fight Oryx, but oh well. Will try again this weekend. Should be easier when we're all a bit higher in our Light Levels.

Wrong. I want Stormcallers on every boss fight for massive orb gen and add clearing, super useful as mid/floaters on Sisters and Oryx, and great for damage and zone clearing on Gologorath. Sunsingers with Fusion are also great as floaters to help with Ogres on Oryx.

1 返信I have begun to run Song of Flame sometimes just to help allies and Stormcaller is amazing for ads. Takes them out extremely fast. Imo, Nightstalkers and Defenders are better for the bosses (Tethers+Extra dmg and WoL) while Warlocks are great for clearing ads when needed.

It really depends on the situation, I found that when we do the first boss warlocks are useful. If you make it so the warlock gets the red bubble buff (sorry brain isn't working) and we die with it we can easily res and gain it back. (Well this happened once and we actually needed me to do that for the final hit kill) and on the second boss we can use our storm caller to take out the exploding thralls and taken faster while generating orbs for everyone. I feel we have a place, it just depends on the fireteam and how well you can use your lock.

I use song of flame in the raid, I may not have the best super but with song of flame I'm producing orbs like a mother trucker and helping anyone near me get their supers up just by standing next to me. If you ask me a super to help someone get their super is something very useful in any situation including the raid.

Voidwalkers WOULD have been ultimate orb makers with their shatter/Bad Juju combo but Bungie can't let them be useful because f*ck you that's why. Sunsingers are good contingency plans due to their self revive and can be good to a degree for add control. If only they brought the Purifier Robes to y2, but hey we got HoPF so that's a plus too. Stormcallers are pretty much the masters of add control, like the Supercell's subclass equivalent. And the two combined... my god you won't even remember what a thrall or a drag looks like after a few months with that combo on your team. Nightstalkers are good at add control as well but a different kind, with their shadowshot they can effectively put smaller amounts of more powerful mobs out of commission, such as Knights, Captains, etc. making them much easier to deal with. Plus their plethora of helpful grenades and smoke bombs are helpful in a pinch granted you're all coordinated enough to call out commands effectively. *Due to discussion of Nightstalkers I've decided to add them here lest I rustle their jimmies.*

2 通の返信These posts make me laugh. Just because that's the way YOUR group did it doesn't mean that's the only way. I watched a team of 5 warlocks and a hunter blow through the raid. It's not the classes. It the player pushing the buttons.

1 返信Nah dude. Stormcaller with maximum chain effects allows for incredible crowd control. With 2 on a team you won't have to worry about additional mobs.
