Golden gun isn't op, it's the only super that doesn't give an overshield. It's just better for some modes than others. It really shines in Mayhem, because the frequency you can use it allows you to be more careless with you shots, but in smaller modes, like Trials of Osiris, a gunslinger is worthless.
