I found out you have to purchase it twice if you want it on both old and new gen systems. A lot of my friends haven't upgraded to an Xbox one yet so I play both systems equally. Not being able to buy the DLC once and having it on both systems is a big deal to me.
My only question to bungie is why?
Why wouldn't they allow this? They did it for expansion 1 & 2... Why wouldn't they for TTK?
It's all about the money.
I refuse to pay $80+ tax ($90) just to have it for both systems. Now, I'm not sure if I'm going to buy it at all and that really, really sucks.
I hope they change asap but I don't see that happening.

[i]"UPDATE: Many players have benefited from this limited-time offer since it was first issued. To enable more people to take advantage of the offering, it was extended for the Expansion Pass, Expansion I, and Expansion II. Destiny: The Taken King is not part of this offer and is therefore not available in the Digital Upgrade Program.."

Edit: I bought it.. Twice.

4 通の返信Okay so lets say I buy It on the one, would I still get the new subclasses on the 360??

2 通の返信Transfer your 360 account to an Xbox one, purchase the legendary edition, save money.

I mean, if anyone is serious about gaming as a hobby and want to continue with this game. You need to get the current gen Consoles. The PS3 is soon going to be cut from patches and features sooner or later. You might as well take this time to upgrade rather than having to spend more money in the future because you have to rebuy shit to play the expansions. It's time to move forward, sell your last gen consoles (or keep em) and get the current gen consoles. 2 years is plenty of time to save up and upgrade.

1 返信I would just buy the 360 version and then not play the Xbox one until your friends upgrade, once that happens, I'm sure you will be able to get a bundle like he legendary edition (except for the year three destiny game) that comes with the preceding games and DLC for $60.

1 返信If you got the two dlcs when you transfor pay 40 for digital ttk. Don't make it more complicated then it needs to be..
-
They never mentioned it so it shouldn't be a surprise. Also, and don't be surprised by this one, but there will be a time when this game is no longer available for 360 or PS3. Personally, I think Destiny 2 or whatever it will be called, will be next-gen only. Will they lose players...yes, but I think the majority of gamers have made the switch. Just my OP on your post.

1 返信Woah woah woah hold the -blam!- up what? Here I was thinking I was gonna buy the legendary edition on 360 then be able to go download it free on xbox one, which was such a nice thing seeing as though they just took 60 more of my dollars for TTK (not complaining about paying for that, I love destiny so I don't mind, but buying double DLC is ridiculous) Buying destiny twice was no big deal since it was on sale for xb1 for 20$ when I got it, but paying another 60$ for my xb1 to have the expansion? No -blam!-ing thanks,
I'm actually legitimately bummed out right now
3 通の返信So I have both 360 and one, if I buy TTK on 360 first, won't it transfer over to one?

7 通の返信I can see why you are upset about the old gen and the current gen and not being able to have both with one purchase. Although you must see it this way, it has been almost 2 years since the jump and frankly I am surprised some people are still hanging in the pass with the 360/ps3 models, don't get me wrong I still have my old gen console for great games like skyrim and quite a few others. However they might just be urging others to make that jump because more than likely the next huge installment might not make it to the last gen consoles. GL with you choices and may I suggest to urge your friends to upgrade, yes in some cases they may not be able to but it has been 2 years I am sure someone can save up the money in 2 years to be able to buy a current console.(Half a dollar a day)

8 通の返信They did it once. Since the current gen was new they were trying to give people an incentive to upgrade. They figure anyone who will soon have already now they are making there be no other choice. The 360 and ps3 are dying so they are turning away. It happens with every gen. Your friends need to upgrade if they want to enjoy destiny after this year. Just because some people don't want to or can't afford to upgrade doesn't mean devs will bend over backwards to kiss your ass. Sorry it's just how it is.

20 通の返信The digital upgrade program was when XB1 was new and launched. The self-entitlement bullshit premise your using now is...bullshit. Deal with it.

1 返信I would get it for xbox one if I were you, and tell your friends to upgrade to xbox one, bungie cannot keep releasing the same game for current and last gen systems.... chances are TTK is last one for ps3 and x360 since space is an issue and ram is also... as destiny trys to compete with games on current gen alone such as the division, bungie will have to make a choice cater to last gen or be in the competitive market place with cutting edge graphics bigger and better open worlds and you name it. TL;DR summary: LAST Gen is holding back CURRENT gen
