Listen, if you are playing on the Xbox or playstation, please for the love of god get a -blam!-ing mic. Especially, when you are playing team based activities. When you don't have a mic, you are dragging the team down. You can't give call outs, and at that point are no better than a npc.
Also, if you have an Xbox 360, or one. You had a mic shipped with you. Same with PS4.
Edit: yes, many of you have had times where you were able to successfully do something without a mic. Yet, with a mic, you would have found that same level of success easier to achieve. As you may have read, it's like being a basketball player. Being able to dribble, shoot, and run are all important aspects. Yet, if you don't speak, you are not worth as much to your team. Communication is always important to making you a better player.

Sometimes it's nice when no one has a mic. Do we still complete a team based mission or activity without a mic and still work as an awesome team without one? Of course! Some of the best players I have had the privilege of joining in on a random strike or raid didn't have mics. Sure, it would be nice if everyone had a mic from time to time to do call outs, but I've seen better teamwork without mics more often than with a mic. Of course, As a girl, everyone freaks out when I start talking on the mic and start asking questions like "are you a girl" "will you add me as a friend" etc and not pay attention and then Die. Leaving me to revive my team. Again. And again. And again. So I just don't turn my mic on unless necessary or I'm playing with friends.

1 返信I only use a mic if I absolutely have to. I have a speech impediment along with a severe anxiety disorder so talking to random strangers is not my favorite thing to do. It's one of my least favorite things to do. I'm just saying, there might be special reasons why people don't use mics. Be a little considerate.

8 通の返信Brad, you sound like a jerk in real life. No offended. Mic is no good for me because I am born-Deaf. However I've beaten Crota, Skolas, etc. on hard mode and have no problem at all. Question? *wink*

33 通の返信Get over yourself. People have the right to choose whether or not to use a mic. If you don't like it, don't play.

9 通の返信Reading some of the comments, I swear I got lucky with the people I play with. Some of the better players I know don't use mics by choice, and they've proved to me that you don't really need one to communicate. I adapted to them and their play styles and learned to trust them the more I played with them. Flawless passages, raids, PoE, PvP... all successful with mutes. Heck, I was playing Rift yesterday with a 4-man - none of us had mics plugged in. First few games were rusty, but after that we picked up eachother's style and absolutely wrecked with a handful of mercy rules.

4 通の返信I have a mic but never want to use it because I can't be sure whether or not someone will be sexist towards me since I'm a girl. So sometimes people have reasons for not using a mic

Nah man i'll be just fine without using my mic. It's not a must to use communication while raiding, raiding isn't hard. Besides most players only say three things during a raid anyway: "Sup..." "Shoot rockets please..." "Bye..."

Mm... Yeah okay. I do just fine without a mic. In fact... if you look at any of my recent raids for the past month and a half, most of those were with ransoms whom I had no other form of communication aside from emotes and crouching. When you say that you have 90 VoG completions, questions like 'can you do ____?' are more prevalent than 'who can do ____?'
Also, one of my most smooth VoG completions was with a full group of mute randoms. Skill and experience speak louder than communication.
Seeing how poisonous these forums can be, and considering I have a newborn that can explode at a moment's notice, I find a much more positive experience can be experienced through silence. I have to sacrifice most raids in the event she needs something, and I'm okay with that. But for me the gameplay is much more fun than call of duty, and even more so when I'm not being called names by randoms in the crucible. When I choose to go raising I'll add my mic but until then it's more fun to silently point and dance to show my appreciation for help with the wolves or something else.

10 通の返信skolas and crota are the only times you need a mic and only the swordbearer needs one on crota. stop complaining or get good, your the reason nobody wants to use a mic.

Have mic, use with friends, if your not in party chat. Then activity is easy and requires no mic. Once upon a gaming life, things like mic's not work right. Yet we work as team, kill all in sight. On voodoo3 graphic might. Maybe your "game" is not tight.
