What on earth provoked Bungie to do such a drastic nerf? I understand tinkering with PvP shotties but freaking 45% in PvE??? Absolutely ridiculous and an unnecessary neutering of a quick secondary option for close encounters.
This one puzzles me.

6 通の返信I too was amazed that they did this. If the original buff was +100%, doesn't a later -45% very nearly negate that and restore it to the original value? Seems pointless to have ever buffed them.

The reason they got a damage reduction is the weakening powers of nightstalker/sunbreaker. If they remained at their pre-2.0 state, we would be 5-shotting strike ultras with anchor while they cannot do anything, thus defeating purpose of the challenge

45% is huge on paper, but running around I haven't really noticed much different at all. Did they confirm 45%? Because IMO, it doesn't feel like it could have been more than 4.5% (typo?). My shotty seems to knock back higher level enemies more often, too. So getting up close in PVE doesn't seem as risky.

The shotguns need to be super close to be effective. First the risks of getting so close did not pay off, damage was too low. So they buffed the damn things like by 200%, wich made any shotgun a death dealing machine on pve. Now they nerf it back like wtf? Bungie has 0 common sense.

Video game balance changes should be 1%~10% % change one way or the other. Developers who make these insane changes only prove they lack experience. As it stands now as of 2.0.0 shotguns are broken. Shelving all shotguns until they are fixed.

Vesta Ripsにより編集済み: 9/9/2015 10:43:52 PMI agree, and I thought it made boss encounters more interesting! Risking that close melee encounter to do a chunk of damage instead of sitting and sniping behind a rock. Captains already shrugged buckshot slugs of off them! It just makes the game more campy.

1 返信Shotguns are really bad now it took me 6 shots with found verdict to kill a fallen captain major
