Looking down the comments, everybody who said they hated titanfall say it did not have enough guns or anything.
This age of games is going downhill with this mentality. More is not better. titanfall could have had more to it but for what it did have it was amazing. An extremely solid game with very fun gametypes and controls, only shot down by the lack of any longevity. But if is that fun, it should theoretically be able to last for years, just like games used to before the age of DLC or countless achievements/collectibles.
Can't wait to see how good titanfall 2 is. It doesn't need more guns, just more gamemodes (a proper campaign for instance) and perhaps private matches/custom games.

Precisely. Most weapons are redundant. In games like Destiny or borderlands, or any mmo, it's alright, as the weapons actually get higher leveled and outclass the old ones. However in most shooters the weapons do not get any more powerful, the only difference being a slight difference in stats. Most guns in battlefield and CoD are so redundant that it doesn't even matter which assault rifle or which shotgun you use, they will all function generally the same (slight difference in archtype such as faster firing or more/less recoil). It's all unneccessary, they could reduce the amount of guns by 50% and still have a great variation.

But WHY does it need more? There's isn't any good reason to just include more guns, just to have half of them be useless or redundant. In the first game nearly every weapon has a role to fulfill, and they did so pretty good. No 2 weapons were really alike. There's no reason to have more guns unless there was a certain niche that wasn't fulfilled. More guns means nothing by itself.
