Honestly we'll probably still get marks from running the playlists and Public Events, it would be weird not to; plus the activities they mentioned only give out marks once per day/week so it would ruin the unlimited gain thing.
As for PoE it isn't a Vanguard/Crucible activity so it makes sense we don't get marks from those.
