So with the launch of TTK, Bungie actually REMOVES 2 Raids and one Horde Mode? leaving us with only one end game activity?
since after the launch of TTK there is absolutely no incentive to run VoG or TDB or PoE anymore (even ToO and IB would be obsolete i guess since NO legendary will make it "over" to the year two) and that leaving the Player with just ONE raid as end game activity (and some patrol and some (quest-)bounties..)
would it not have been WAY better if they would have redesigned the VoG weapons to match tier 2 weapon stats and relaunched the Raids with maybe some BUGFIXING? (*hinthint*) and some cool new features? (add-ons.. bungie look that up if you dont know what it is..)
even if they would have taken some of the new TKK exotics and found a reason why they are now in those old raids ( *hint2* missing guardiand, Kabr, Toland, Eris as hintguver etc..) and actually put those new exotics and legendaries IN those old raids ? at the moment i dont even have a reason to run those raids with newbies that havent raided them before since if they get a fatebringer, wow, ! yeah scrap that.. *dismanteld* and then saying "BUT it USED to be the best weapon in game "..!
seriously, if you dont come up with a good solution to that mess, TTK will be burned out the week its out.. surely the new raid will (if its done properly) be more challenging than the old ones.. (you said that ,. not me ) but also those raids will be solved and the completion time will drop down to 1-2 hours max (Remember , Crota raid dropped down to 15 minutes so it was more like a speedrun..)
so pelase, bungie, go back to the drawing board and focus a bit on the Old end game activities, and dont make them completely obsolete.. and if you need ideas or tips, hell, even call me, i have plenty of them..
GO and don't let those old raids die out--

There's going to be another DLC in, what? Four months? My guess is that the new raid, the Court of Oryx, and the strike changes/additions/whatev, plus the leveling (both to 40 and of the subclasses) should be enough to keep the vast majority of players occupied for quite some time. Don't forget that the new exotics will need to be grinded to get (in some pf the cases at least). Or that the upgraded exotics will need to be purchased from Blueprints and leveled. Or that there will be actual, workable paths to getting the shaders and ships and such that people have been hunting for. If your sole focus is raid content, and you only want to beat the raid on hard mode once, then sure, you're going to run out of content quickly. If you're wishing to fully explore the depth of the expansion and the opportunities in it then I think you'll probably have a lot more to do than you realize.

5 通の返信Dude this is a mmorpg/fps we can all tell your new esspecially to the mmorpg genre as mmorpg do this all the time new expansion comes out your old gear is obsolete otherwise What's the point in doing the new end game? Do you see all the WOW player complaining about the next expansion? Be happy you are getting new end game options and besides after saying all that you will still get the the taken king expansion lol

3 通の返信They will probably revamp the old raids and make us pay for it in the upcoming DLCs. Then, magically they will make more year 1 exotics available as year 2 exotics. Seems to be the trend these days.

I agree, used to love bungie to death, been there since they were a baby corp. but now you can tell a chunk of their good design team left for 343 and halo and such. It used to be there were no dead ends or locked rooms, always had 2-3 entrances and exits and they paid attention to the players. Now its all statistics and tweak this or tweak that. They have made so many decisions and then literally reversed or removed those decisions because they realized how bad they were. When an entire group of people.... (whos sole job it was is to come up with ideas that are good for a game) ...keeps removing their decisions and addons then someone needs to consider hiring smarter minds.

5 通の返信From my understanding, and game content has a chance to spawn The Taken. Which can only mean increased difficulties for these activities. Correct me if I'm wrong here.

1 返信Fun. VoG is the best activity still in the game. I'd do VoG over anything in the game's current state.

1 返信It's unfortunate that Destiny will likely end up a confusing pile of random stuff by the end of the franchise. Because stupid complainers like those in this thread will continue to ruin it for everyone else with all their moaning.

3 通の返信Or, as online RPG's play out, you will have certain leveled raids that will give armor to boost your attack and defense, and then the higher the raid level is, the stronger you get. RPG's like ESO and WoW do this perfectly, where the beginning level raids dont give items that will be more powerful at the end game content.

5 通の返信There's only ever been one end game content (except trials and PoE) (CE and VoG were not end game content, with the exception that you could use etheric light.) VoG wasn't "endgame" during TDB, and neither of them were [i]really[/i] endgame content in HoW

4 通の返信removes two raids?! Didn't crota's end "remove" VoG and then PoE removed Crota's End? o_O There's always a new endgame activity which renders the old one obsolete...

I agree. With old gear becomimg obsolete they have given new players no need to experience the vog or crota or poe. What purpose other than you have no other game to play...would anyone have for these? Think about it. They trivialize the entire year one with ttk. When was the last time you had 160 attack on a weapon?
