Just curious to see how many people consider themselves average Crucible players. Rather than the either really good or really bad players you only ever seem to hear about.
Personally I consider myself to be pretty average. I have good games. I have bad games. In fact I'm so in the middle I often find myself winning or losing based on the skill of the rest of my team, rather than me carrying them or dragging them down.
I also thought I'd ask about your thoughts on some issues/changes as an average player.
EDIT: It seems we have at least a mostly honest gathering today. At first there was some 60% saying they were great which only seemed to fit ego rsther than skill. But that's just what it seemed to me, I won't tell anyone that they're bad or great unless I've seen them in action (or they have a really amazing or really crappy all time k/d).
To everyone who said they are terrible:
Hopefully you at least dominate the darkness.
Keep on fighting!

My Kd is only 1.7 but I average a 2.3 or higher every game. Sometimes I want to have fun with funky exotic weapons and armor and I get around a 1.3kd and top of the game. Other times I want to go hard, max my stat rolls, put on my beast gear and go in at the top of the game with 6,000-7,500 points and a 2.3 or above kd.

I'm painfully average. I've been trying to improve my sniping skill using my Supremacy, but sometimes it just feels like I've made no progress, whereas other times, I can wipe the entire other team without reloading. I'm very on and off it seems.

4 通の返信I'd say the biggest challenges I see for teammates that struggle are a) using vertical movement to surprise enemies, so you aren't walking around a corner with your head in someone's scope (seriously, good players know exactly where to put a scope to watch a corner) and b) knowing when to press forward and when to force an enemy to come to them. Too often I see players on the wrong side of the map when we have good positioning and flags, and that's what leads to spawn flipping and/or needless deaths.

Average player and inconsistent. My k/d across all 3 of my characters is right around a 1.0. Started playing pvp with a titan and worked from a .5 to basically a .9 if not 1.0. It was very hard at first because I had to learn the maps, get a feel for the game, and work through the ass whippings I would get. I am proud of the fact that I do not quit very much. I can't say I never rage quit but I have more respect for myself knowing that I didn't have to quit a bunch of games just to keep my stats above 1.0. I'm not awesome and I never will be but I still enjoy playing.

my best k/d so far has been 1.89 i am very inconsistent. At the end of it all I have to remind myself that this is just a video game. I cant get personally invested like some of these younger people who study every mechanic of the gear and guns, and meticulously inspect opposing teams, at that point it has become work, and not a fun past time which is what this was intended to be for me.

4 通の返信KidSixXxにより編集済み: 7/30/2015 2:54:48 PMI have my good matches and I have my bad ones. I usually make a good showing in points. I am better at large team matches than small team or single player deathmatch play. Not really sure why since I did perfectly fine in Slayer on Halo and other single player deathmatch arenas.

I think I'm average, but improving. My k/d is slowly going steadily up since I made it a point to practice regularly. My goal is for my all time to be the same as all of my recent scores lately. Ps4 if any other average people want to do Crucible activities.

1 返信You have a lifetime K/D hovering around 1.0, which is as in the middle as it gets. Kudos on that, though, as I'd happily have more people on my team that could do that consistently.

1 返信Everyone, regardless of ability has a good day and a bad day. Sometimes it's hard to judge someone purely on a few days performance, their presence may actually improve their allies performance through their actions, even if that involves taking a few rounds for the team :D
