Why do Raids on Normal?
I just don't see the point of why a bunch of lvl 34s will run Atheon and Crota on normal mode
Update: This is the first post I've ever had that blew up so that's exciting. Unfortunately a lot of people thought I was being arrogant and to be fair I can see why. Let me explain, I got mythoclast and beat Crota hard for the first time ever within the last week and it was great. However a lot of people whenever I join their fireteam at 5/6 all hyped I get so disappointed when it's on normal and it gets to the point where it's very frustrating and I just leave them now. I have yet to get the crux of Crota and I've been wanting Necrochasm ever since I found out it was arc and I haven't found a fireteam doing hard yet but within that time I found several doing normal so I thought I'd make this post and see why. Thank you everyone for replying and to those who called me out on my own arrogance I apologize.
Reasons that have been explained to me so far:
-Black Hammer
-Flawless Raider
-Fun
-Black Hammer
-Teaching and practice for hard mode
-On Crota normal mode apparently has a better if not the only (mixed responses) drop rates for special and heavy weapons aka BLACK HAMMER
-Better chances at an exotic
-Black Hammer

I play with my brother, girlfriend, and 2 friends I've known for a [i]long[/i] time. We're decent players, but when we're all put together in a raid (which we love doing), it gets hectic. And when I say that I mean we goof off a lot. Lots of laughing, suicide missions- some rage. But all in all, a good time. But when we're tied down to no revives it can get stressful. We like having the option to play a stupid move, laugh it off, and get picked back up. Most of us can run Hard mode when we're not all together, but Normal mode is much more laid back. Plus, my girlfriend started playing Destiny only a few months ago, and it's awesome to hear her say, [i]"Can we run Vault?"[/i]

cVikingにより編集済み: 7/21/2015 2:59:36 PMI can understand VOG because you can get all the available weapons from running hard mode however if you run normal the chance of a normal only weapon drop is more likely so if you are after Vision or the sniper a normal mode run would give a better chance at it dropping because of there being a smaller loot table to drop from. In regards to Crota, people run normal to get heavy and special weapons and also will run either raid on normal for Flawless raider.

6 通の返信The weapon drops are different. By removing the hard mode drops from the table, there's a higher chance for other items dropping on normal. Example: Black Hammer drops on normal and hard Crota, but you are less likely to get it on hard because there are more items in the loot table, so running normal increases your chances.

5 通の返信VoG normal has a higher percentage chance of dropping Found Verdict if you need one. Also you can get the Glass Minette if you like that ship. Crota Normal gives you the chance to get raid special and heavy since they don't drop on hard.

Because some weapons ONLY drop on normal. Black hammer being one. Also there is a chance for an exotic on both. I ran crota normal and did not get an exotic from beating crota but i had a chance. Immediately ran hard and picked up my first hawkmoon for spanking his butt. Dont cost yourself the exotic chance if you dont already have everything.
